Taken on 10/2/2020 of a Wig Wag crossing located on 7th St. in Sanger, Ca. It is one of the approximately 13 surviving Wig Wag crossings still in service in California, one of the few that have modern crossing lights installed, and (to the best of my knowledge) is the only wig wag crossing to have an e-bell installed. Because of the e-bell and modern flasher installation I assume that this crossing works exactly like a modern gateless crossing would operate but with a wig wag light attached to it. Although I have not been able to record footage at this crossing since the SJVRR local runs on this line at very inconvenient times, I do plan on filming here before the crossing ever gets replaced. Shot on my iPhone 6s.

Taken on 7/27/20 of the former Santa Fe Freighthouse located at the Fresno Amtrak Station in Fresno, Ca. It was built in 1899 for the ATSF railway, and from 1974 to 2005 this was used as the main Amtrak building as the Santa Fe Passenger Depot - located right next to the building - was falling into disrepair. However when the depot was refurbished in 2005, Amtrak has since closed off this building and moved their main office to the depot, where since then, the freighthouse has mostly been used as storage, and has fallen into disrepair. This is apparent as where the Santa Fe letters used to be located on top of the building have sadly gone missing. Note that the image showing the lower floor of the freighthouse was not taken inside but rather outside through a small hole in a broken window. I did not trespass in any of the boundaries of where it is closed off. Shot on my iPhone 6s

Taken on 6/12/2020 of what appears to be the remaints of a signal box located on Mary Ave in Fresno, Ca. Not sure exactly what type of signal this was for, my guess is possibly a wig wag signal, although it could presumably be a track signal as well. Shot on my iPhone 6s.

Taken on 3/10/2020 of the remains of an abandoned grade crossing leading into the (now closed as of February 2020) Fresno Bee office on G street in Fresno, California. Although the crossing was abandoned when the high speed rail was being built, it is still a sad sight to see nonetheless. Shot on my iPhone 6s

Taken on 06/05/20 of a BNSF grain train sitting in idle outside of the BNSF Calwa yard on Church Ave. in Fresno, California. Although I was unable to catch the lead units, seeing as how it would've taken me several minutes to walk up to the front of the train, I did manage to catch the DPU units on this train (which included a Canadian Pacific Unit, a rare catch to see in California). Listen to that GE chug! Shot on my iPhone 6s.

*Note that I was unable to catch any of the lead units as they located too far from where I was located.

Hello everyone,

As of right now, many places around the world have enforced shelter-in-place orders in an effort to help curb the spread of COVID-19. Recently, the city of Fresno has extended their shelter-in-place to May 6th, and has made it mandatory. Anyone who violates the order may face a $1,000 fine or even arrest. As of right now Fresno county has 251 confirmed cases of people who have COVID-19, 7 people have died from the disease.

Because of these two events that have been going on, I've decided that I will be railfanning less frequently, and will be delaying any new videos that I'm working on. This is to ensure my health and saftey, as well as to not have any trouble with any enforcement in any area that I railfan in.

To anyone that's railfanning right now during this pandemic, please be safe. Your health matters just as much as everyone else's.

Thanks,
RC

Taken this morning of SJVR Local Freight's leading locomotive on Cherry Ave. in Fresno, California. The engine was turned off with no engineer on board, so I managed to get an up close shot of the locomotive. This locomotive looks relativley new, yet has already been vandalized, a common sight that you will see on many of SJVR's locomotives. Shot on my iPhone 6s.

28/02/2020

Taken this morning of the last remaining Wig-Wag Crossings in Fresno, California. These particular Wig-Wags, along with many others located in the Central Valley, have recently been fitted with 2 pairs of 8x20 WCH LED Lights (3 pairs in the second picture). My guess is these were installed due to safety concerns regarding traffic on these particular streets, as well as the Wig Wag Flasher not being bright enough for a regular driver to see when it is flashing, although your guess is as good as mine. It's good to see that SJVR is willing to at least preserve these crossings that have been at these locations for decades, rather than removing them and replacing them with the generic Grade Crossings we see today. While I didn't catch any particular train running on these tracks this morning, I'm hoping that someday I would like to see these activated in person (that is if SJVR doesn't plan on getting rid of these crossings anytime soon.) Hey everyone, I've decided that this Friday I am going to be re-uploading the video titled "BNSF/Amtrak Action in Fresno, California: December 2019 - January 2020." This is because I noticed the video quality was rendered at 720p instead of 1080p like I hoped for. I also noticed that the audio wasn't matching up to the clips. Thankfully I'll have these fixed by Friday, once I re-upload the video. In the meantime I have changed the visibility of the current version of the video right now to private. Thanks for understanding.

Taken yesterday of a A SJVR Local Freight as it stops at the Santa Fe Passenger Depot and waits for a northbound BNSF Empty Stack train to pass by in Fresno, Ca. Although I managed to grab a video of this particular train along with the BNSF meetup, the quality of the video was really poor and shaky, and I was unfourtunatley not able to get a video of this train leaving the station due to my iPhone's low battery life. Luckily, I was able to snag a picture of the lead locomotive before the BNSF freight passed by. Shot on my iPhone 6s.

Hey everyone, been a while since I posted on here, but I have some news to share.

I'll be uploading my first video on my new channel on January 31st, 2020. However, because of this, I'm going to stop posting any new quick catch videos that I've been posting on this page, because the new video will be a compilation of said videos (along with any recent ones that I haven't posted yet) that I've recorded from last December, to this month. I'll also be deleting the quick catch videos that I had posted on this page once I have the video finished and uploaded. In the meantime, I'll be recording more clips on occasion throughout this month in order to add to the video. Stay tuned.

I would like to everyone who has had the patience to stick with me around this time. I've been very occupied with important personal business lately, and it's been taking a lot of my free-time away from me, but I promise, that I will have a video up on my channel at the end of this month. Once again, thank you
