Annual Hillsdale Thanksgiving Scone Walk

Annual Thanksgiving Day Walk, Thursday, November 27, 9-11am

A tradition for nearly 30 years, this Hillsdale event features free scones, coffee and tea along an easy 2.2-mile self-led hiking route. The route is a loop starting from the Hillsdale Food Park, but you can jump in at any point along the way. From the Food Park continue up Sunset to the library, then take Cheltenham over to Terwilliger. Head south to the Scone Station on the Vincent Place cul-de-sac. After enjoying a snack and a hot beverage, you can make your way back to your starting point.

Refreshments will be available from 9:30-11am, while supplies last!

Need more caffeine? PDX Coffee Club will be open until 2pm and is offering a 20% discount on Thanksgiving to those who complete the walk.

Crosswalk Flash Mob Alert

PBOT has long promised a crosswalk near the MJCC where SW Capitol Hwy, Vermont, and SW 25th intersect. You can help make it a reality!

On Saturday, November 15, between 9 and 9:30 am, PBOT will be counting pedestrian crossings at that spot—enough crossers, and we are one step closer (ahem) to a marked crossing.

Show up and cross (9:15 is the sweet spot), or join SW Trails on their 3rd Saturday Walk. The walk starts promptly at 9am at the Hillsdale Food Park and will head over to SW 25th and cross at Capitol Hwy before completing a 3.5-mile easy loop.
