Piha Beach and the Mercer Bay Loop Track was one of the first things we did with Craig’s parents. The views are just amazing!! The real fruit ice cream from the van on the beach front is sooo delicious!!

We just love Christmas Eve! It was extra special to be able to take Craig’s parents with us to the Christmas Eve service at our church…seeing that it’s at the foot of Mt Eden, we did a quick walk up the mount after the service for some amazing views 🤩

📍Mount Gabriel Christmas Tree Farm
Situated about a 20 minute drive from Auckland cbd
We got a saw and a measuring stick and could walk around the plot to select and cut down any tree we wanted 🎄 Our tree ended up being $30 and they also wrapped it in some kind of netting, making it easier to transport. We bought a tree stand as well from the farm. Just google Mount Gabriel Christmas Tree Farm as all the info and prices are available on their website.

📍CATHEDRAL COVE 🥰 Wow! Wow! Wow! The walk is pretty hectic, but we’re not complaining! We’re just happy that the pathway is finally open again, we’ve been waiting to visit this beautiful beach ever since we arrived in New Zealand. For those who don’t want to do the walk, a water taxi is available from Hahei, but it is $40 one-way. #cathedralcove #newzealand

📍Whale Bay, Tutukaka Coast This is our favourite beach in NZ, located on the Tutukaka Coast. There is about a 10 minute walk down to the bay, with spectacular views along the way. 📍Mumbaiwala, Ponsonby This was our first time at this restaurant and wow! We were so impressed 🤗 From amazing friendly staff, to delicious flavour bomb food! 👌We booked on the First Table app for 5pm and a $12 booking fee. We received 50% off on the food, on the condition that we each order a drink. One or two menu items were also excluded from the offer. Would we go back? Definitely!! Day 2 2025 Walking from Takapuna Beach to Milford Beach is a stunning track and only accessible during low tide. It took about 45 minutes to walk 3km, with a few photo stops along the way. #takapunabeach #milfordbeach #auckland #newzealand
