'Stairs of death' (15th Century CE), are a section of stone steps, built by Incas (1438-1533 CE), located at peak Huayna Picchu mountain, 2693m above sea level (one of steep mountains that overlooks Machu Picchu), Peru.

The stairs also known as Huayna Picchu Stairs of Death, they are so narrow, sometimes you can't even put both of your feet on a step.

Additionally, there won't be anything for climbers to hang onto when climbing these stairs except from the terraces on one side.

The oldest house in France.

It's found In Aveyron, it's 700 years old, it was built in the 13th century and belonged to a Jeanne.

The ground floor is a little smaller than the upstairs because in those times you only paid taxes on occupied land, so everyone built like this, ′′ cheating "!
The house tells us Jeanne was relatively rich, because she's built from stone.

Cosquer Cave located in Cap Morgiou, Marseille, France, is situated about 37 meters (121 feet) below sea level and its entrance is about 37 meters (121 feet) underwater. This underwater entrance suggests that sea levels were significantly lower during the time the cave was inhabited by prehistoric humans, allowing access to the cave without diving equipment.

The cave contains around 600 paintings and engravings, which are predominantly of animals such as horses, bison, ibex and seals, as well as numerous hand stencils. These works of art provide valuable information about the lives and beliefs of the people who inhabited the region during the Upper Paleolithic period.

Due to the unique underwater entrance and the fragile nature of the cave's contents, access to the cave is strictly regulated, and special permission is required for research or scientific exploration. In recent years, efforts have been made to study and preserve the cave and its invaluable cultural heritage.

Edwin Henry Landseer, Mourning for the Old Shepherd, 1837
The artist Edwin Landseer was an animal painter, giving preference to the depiction of animals in his work. His painting “Mourning for the Old Shepherd,” depicting a dog who lost his master, was no exception.
On the canvas we see a rather poor shack, in the middle of which stands a wooden coffin. A very sad dog laid her head on its lid - she doesn’t know how she will live now without her shepherd. The artist conveyed in an amazingly realistic way the suffering of the unfortunate dog, whose eyes literally contain tears.
On the floor lies a primitive wooden cane and an old hat of the deceased. There is a Bible and glasses on the chair. This is all that remains of the elderly owner of the house, who has passed on to another world.
This painting was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1837 and was a great success. It received rave reviews from many acclaimed critics and was enthusiastically received in the press.
English writer and art theorist John Ruskin called the painting “one of the most perfect works of art that modern times have seen.”
In 1838, an engraving was made based on the painting “Mourning for the Old Shepherd”, which became one of the best-selling engravings of the century.
Currently, the painting is part of the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

"You work 8 hours to live 4.
You work 6 days to enjoy 1.
You work 8 hours to eat in 15 minutes.
You work 8 hours of sleep 5.
You work all year just to take a week or two vacation.
You work all your life to retire in old age.
And contemplate only your last breaths.
Eventually you realize that life is nothing but a parody of yourself practicing your own oblivion.
We have become so accustomed to material and social slavery that we no longer see the chains.. "
Life is a short journey, live it!

You start dying slowly ;
if you do not travel,
if you do not read,
If you do not listen to the sounds of life,
If you do not appreciate yourself.
You start dying slowly :
When you kill your self-esteem,
When you do not let others help you.
You start dying slowly ;
If you become a slave of your habits,
Walking everyday on the same paths…
If you do not change your routine,
If you do not wear different colours
Or you do not speak to those you don’t know.
You start dying slowly :
If you avoid to feel passion
And their turbulent emotions;
Those which make your eyes glisten
And your heart beat fast.
You start dying slowly :
If you do not risk what is safe for the uncertain
If you do not go after a dream
If you do not allow yourself
At least once in your lifetime
To run away from sensible advice
Don't let yourself die slowly
Do not forget to be happy!

The worst shark attack in history 🦈🥶 On July 30, 1945, an American warship was hit by two Japanese torpedoes, sinking her in a mere 12 minutes. 900 sailors survived the disaster, but they couldn’t breathe a sigh of relief: burnt, mutilated and with their limbs cut off, the men were soon faced with a swarm of sharks. Even according the most conservative estimates, at least 150 of them were killed by the animals before help arrived four days later.

The foundation depth of skyscrapers is a critical aspect of their structural design, as it determines the stability and safety of the building. The depth of the foundation for a skyscraper depends on various factors, including the height of the building, the type of soil and bedrock below the site, local building codes, and environmental conditions.

For tall buildings, especially skyscrapers, deeper foundations are usually required to ensure the structure can distribute the weight of the building safely to the ground. There are different types of foundations used for skyscrapers, including shallow foundations like spread footings or mat foundations, as well as deep foundations like piles or caissons.

In some cases, skyscrapers are built on sites with challenging soil conditions, such as soft clay or loose sand, which may necessitate even deeper foundations to reach more stable soil or bedrock layers. Engineers and architects work together to conduct thorough geotechnical investigations to determine the optimal foundation design for the specific site conditions.

The foundation depth of a skyscraper is a crucial consideration during the planning and construction phases to ensure the building's long-term stability and safety. Deep foundations are designed to transfer the loads from the building to the ground in a way that prevents settlement or excessive movement, thereby ensuring the structural integrity of the skyscraper.

A man was flying from Seattle to San Francisco. The plane had a layover in Sacramento. The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft, the plane would re-board in one hour.
Everybody got off the plane except one gentleman who was blind.
Another man had noticd him as he walked by and could tell the gentleman was blind because his Seeing Eye dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of him throughout the
entire flight. He could also tell he had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached him, and calling him by name, said, "Keith, we're in Sacramento for an hour, would you like to get off and stretch your legs? "
The blind man replied, "No thanks, but maybe my dog would like to stretch his legs."
Picture this:
All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a Seeing Eye dog! The pilot was even wearing sunglasses. People scatered. They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!

In the Alcobaça Monastery in Portugal, built in 1178, there is a door 2 meters high and only 32 cm wide, considered the narrowest door in the world.

Called Pega-gordo Gate, its curious design was intended, as the name suggests, not to allow monks who gained too much weight to pass through, since this door was the only entrance to the kitchen where food was served.

Therefore, in order to enter, the monks had to lose weight, it was an order! 😅

Young Dolly Parton lived in a cabin with her family of 14 & bathed in the nearby river. Today, she spends her millions on those in need. 🙏
Dolly Parton was born in a one-bedroom cabin in rural Tennessee. Her dad was a sharecropper who couldn't read. As the family grew, the older children got more responsibilities, and Parton, the fourth of 12 children, had to look after her younger siblings.
The kids didn't even have their own beds, and they slept three to four in a bed. They spent most of the time outside because the cabin was too small for them to hang out comfortably. The space outside served as an extension for sharing meals, entertainment, and playing games.
Parton has always been open about discussing her humble beginnings or how this influenced her views on life. She came from a large family with limited resources, so she is familiar with the challenges of being poor.
In fact, fans love Parton for her singing and unique glam-country queen image. They also love her for her generous soul. She spends much of her income on philanthropy efforts, focusing on education, health, and disaster relief.

Sam and I was at Target store yesterday The couple near the cart didn't have enough money for their purchase. The lady in the green shirt started to hand things back to the cashier to be able to afford what she had. The lady in the black shirt came out from her lane and said you don't need to return anything I will pay for the whole thing. She pulled out her card and did just that. The lady in the green shirt started to cry. We all just experienced such kindness.

In the pre-dawn hours of November 12,1833 the sky over North America seemed to explode with falling stars. It was unlike anything anyone had ever seen before and visible over the entire continent. The falling stars are from the Leonid meteor shower, which occurs every year in November. The meteor shower represents a recently formed meteor stream associated with Comet Temple-Tuttle and it tends to increase in visual strength every 33 or 34 years. The 1833 meteor shower was one of the most intense of its kind with as many as 150,000 meteors per hour visible to the naked eye. People reacted with a mix of fear, awe and scientific curiosity to the 1833 Leonid meteor storm. Michael Shiner noted that the event"frighten the people half to death ".Denison Olmsted Olmsted, a professor at Yale was promoted to study the phenomenon and appealed to the public for more information. The event was widely reported in newspapers with eyewitness accounts and scientific explanations. The public's interest in the event helped to launch one of the first crowdsourced science projects.

A small pine tree grown in a glass box shows the intricate network of white, finely branched mycorrhizal threads or “mycelium” that attach to roots and feed the plant.
These mycorrhizal fungi form symbiotic relationships with plants, helping them absorb water and nutrients from the soil while receiving sugars and other compounds in return.
This incredible underground network supports plant health and growth, illustrating the vital connections within ecosystems. 🌱
