May is .

Aside from taking care of your own mental health, you can also find (simple) ways to get involved this month and every month:

🩷 Support a loved one
🩷 Attend an event
🩷 Partner with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)
🩷 Share your story

It’s okay not to be okay. Or to be vulnerable and open up about your challenges and struggles. You never know who you may be helping.

Check out the NAMI website for resources on how to help yourself and others this May.

PS. I am a certified in Adult Mental Health First Aid. If you need an ear to listen or resources to get the help you deserve, please reach out to me directly 🫶🏼 Call or text 988 for 24/7 crisis support.

Have you been laid off?

If so, first of all, I am so sorry. This is tough stuff.

But I want to help!

Tune in to this episode for a recap of episodes I would recommend as you get your feet under you after getting that devastating news. There are a series of earlier podcast episodes that I want you to listen to when you're ready so you can show up as your best self when you begin the job search again.

Also mentioned in this episode is the "tracker" I have used for myself personally after being laid off two times. I have saved a blank copy with examples for you to use and put your own touches on so you can be a successful, organized job seeker. Get it here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LASP1W_QeXPzt-JCnbHF1-z8Wwsx6E7IykKOQcHC1yg/edit?usp=sharing

As always, if I can offer any additional help or support to you, please reach out to me directly. I mean it! Sending love.

As someone who studied feminism in college (it was my minor!) and had lived a very feminist driven life, I cringe when I hear these misconceptions 🥴

Why? Because they couldn’t be farther from truth — feminism, as its core, is we want the best for EVERYONE.

• Feminists don’t hate men. We want men as our allies.
• Feminists want equality, equity, and justice for ALL people.
• Feminists do not want to fight for what’s right with violence. We want to be heard and seen.

What other misconceptions have you heard?
