I've been procrastinating a lot. And this website suffered because of it.

Well, at least I stopped feeling guilty about it.

Moralizing Laziness or; How I Learned To Feel Less Guilty About Procrastination

We caved in and from now on will also review singles! But honestly, it's an excuse for me to write about Na**lm Death's new single.

This time around, we have Na**lm Death, Deceased, and IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT.

We caved in and from now on will also review singles! But honestly, it's an excuse for me to write about Na**lm Death's new single.

ORANG PLANET fancies themselves as an extension of post-punk in the tradition of Joy Division. The Kota Kinabalu band, however, is happy to play around with synths and the occasional melody lines that sound right out of Turkish psychedelic bands from the 70s.

Orang Planet fancy themselves as part of the post punk tradition but are happy to play around with melodies out of Turkish psychedelic bands from the 70s.

At their peak, Epoch Vultures sound like a noisy Melvins fronted by a deranged Mike Patton. If Mike Patton is a deranged spoken word poet from Kuching City.

Epoch Vulture who fancy themselves as a "Death Dangdut" band isn’t one for conventions. Even my first introduction to the band is out of the norm.

Sweetass's Wa Caya Lu is as much a tribute to the Smashing Pumpkins as it is a rebuke to Corgan’s insistence on perfectionism.

Read and give them a spin.

Clipping.'s There Existed an Addiction to Blood is their magnum opus and most probably the most creative (noise) rap album out there.

Rather than just rely on clunky noisy samples in their previous album, Clipping managed to create what feels like a modern horror-theatre.

Need a soundtrack while staring into the void during the lockdown? Our newest writer Hafiy writes about Ulcerate's latest output that covers that niche.

If death metal were to somehow amalgamate and fuse itself with the finer emotional nuances of post-rock and doom, it would be Ulcerate

While at their core, Mamaleek is a black metal band, calling them just black metal does a disservice to their music.

This time around, experimental black metal band Mamaleek skillfully blends blues, jazz, and angular noise rock moments into their black metal.

We have another writer on board for the team. Hafiy Zaiful is currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Check out what he has to say about hardcore band Code Orange's latest album, Underneath.

In Underneathm Code Orange is chaotic, discomforting, but it also sounds like as though Slipknot had a baby with Nine Inch Nails.

Took sometime but it's finally here. Here's my guide to the history of sludge metal.

I have no idea why Sam Dunn didn’t cover sludge in his documentaries despite having a gap of several years between Headbanger’s Journey and Metal Evolution. Maybe he is paid by some global cabal to keep quiet about sludge?

Sludge Metal is oddly missing from Sam Dunn’s metal evolution tree. Maybe he is paid by some global cabal to keep quiet about sludge?

Melodic Death Metal has an odd position in the world of metal. On one hand it's accessible, yet on the other it's a gateway to more extreme subgenres.

Let me get one thing straight here, White Ward’s Love Exchange Failure was the best metal album I’ve heard from 2019. There have been many attempts at combining black metal and dark jazz, but never has it been done as well as this record.

White Ward’s Love Exchange Failure was the best metal album I’ve heard from 2019. It's rare successful marriage between black metal and jazz.

Marijannah has got to be the greatest pun ever used for a doom metal band.

Members of Singaporean stoner-doom metal band Marijannah are more well known for their more let’s say..… less fuzzier outputs.

Pijn and Conjurer unite to produce a jam session full of pretty and intricate post metal melodies.

I’ve seen the name Conjurer for quite some time but I’ve never heard of Pijn before. And when I say heard, I meant that in the most literal sense.

Throwback to what probably was the best metallic hardcore album of 2018.

Jesus Piece's Only Self feels if Jamey Jasta spent more time listening to Obituary than Sepultura's groovier output.
