DIAMOND BEACH
Entrance fee per 2024 is 25 000 IDR per person.(1,5USD)
Parking fee is 5000 IDR. (0,3 USD)

KELINGKING BEACH
Entrance fee to the beach per 2024 is 10 000 IDR per person. (0,6 USD)

RUMAH POHON TREEHOUSE
Rumah Pohon tree house is only 5-10 minutes away from Diamond beach. The prices for this spot changes all the time. But the last price we know of is 75000 IDR per person (4,5USD) for a photo in this excact spot. Be aware you will have to stand in line (which can take about an hour) and you only have limited time to take photos. The area is breathtaking, so we suggest you walk a bit around to see all the amazing views.

✨️WHERE TO SEE THE NORTHERN LIGHTS✨️

The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, can be viewed in areas close to the Arctic Circle.

Here are some of the best locations to see the Northern Lights:
NORWAY
• Tromsø, Alta, and the Lofoten Islands
• Best time: September to March.
SWEDEN
• Abisko National Park and Kiruna
• Best time: September to March.
FINLAND
• Lapland (Rovaniemi, Levi, and Kakslauttanen)
• Best time: September to March.
ICELAND
• Reykjavik and the surrounding countryside, particularly Thingvellir National Park, are famous.
• Best time: September to April.
CANADA AND USA
• The Yukon, Northwest Territories, and parts of Alberta (such as Jasper National Park)
• Alaska
• Fairbanks
• Best time: September to April.
RUSSIA
• Murmansk and Kola Peninsula are great spots in the Russian Arctic.
• Best time: September to March.

For the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights, aim to be in a dark, clear area with little light pollution and avoid full moon nights❄️✨️

Røros, Norway❤️❄️🇳🇴

We had such a cozy time in Røros before christmas, and highly recommend a visit there to get in the christmas mood🥰

How long should I stay in Røros?
Røros is a very small place, and we think its enough with 1-2 days there. The cutest places and streets are in the center, and do not take long to explore. We also recommend a sleigh ride while you are there. Its such a magical experience to hear the jingle bells while you are sliding through the christmas streets✨🐴

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE BIGGEST CHANCE OF PINK SKIES/WHEN AND WHERE IS THE BIGGEST CHANCE OF PINK SKIES AKA POLAR NIGHTS?

The polar sky is a stunning winter phenomenon where the sun is below the horizon, but sends its lights up against the clouds and make beautiful pastel color light over the horizon. Easier said: the sun actually never rises, but still manage to get light over the horizon which will make a 2-3 hour pink sunrise-sunset🙌🌞🩷

This can happen in all the countries inside the Arctic Circle. In the northern countries such as Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Finland, you can usually experience this in the period between november and March.

In Norway there is a higher chance of seeing them up north in November, December and March. But in the mountain landscape in south and east of Norway it is a bit more common in January and February🩷❄️

ARE YOU PLANNING A TRIP TO LAKE COMO?🇮🇹💦🌞

In this post, we will share all the things we think is good to know before going there.
Save this post for your Italy planning❤️

WHERE TO STAY
There's plenty of places to stay in Lake Como, but we did a lot of research before going, and ended with an acommodation in the town called Menaggio. We are so happy we chose this place, as it has everything you need like restaurants, cafes and stores, but its also easy to take the ferries from Menaggio to the other towns. (Picture 1 and x is from Menaggio📸)

WHICH TOWNS TO VISIT
The most beautiful towns in lake como in our opinion is Varenna, Belaggio and Nesso, with Varenna as a favourite. Varenna is very small, but its colorful harbor area is the most cozy harbor we have ever been to. Bellagio has endless of beautiful streets decorated with flowers, and everything is so clean and stylish. Nesso was so idyllic down by the famous bridge, and the vibe was just so different. We really felt like we were part of the italian culture there, as the youngsters were playing and jumping from the bridge🥰

OTHER PLACES AND ACTIVITIES TO SEE AND DO IN LAKE COMO
-We rented a boat to see the beautiful coastline of Lake Como, and we are so happy we did. We looove boatrips, and it was amazing exploring all the places we wanted in our own pace. If you do rent a boat we advice you to see Villa del Balbianello and Villa la Casinella. (You do not need a boat licence for this)
The views from the lake to these two castles were stunning! We rented a boat from clickandboat.com (no ad). You should check different boat owners and websites as the prices can vary a lot⛵️
-Villa del Balbianello is not only stunning from the lake. We highly recommend this place a visit. We have probably never seen a property this beautiful. Every straw of grass was lined perfectly. The entry fee for the property is 22 euros for adults and 12 euros for children. They are open every day between March to january except mondays and fridays.

Do we recommend Naxos?

The best thing about Naxos is the beautiful beaches. This island has plenty of long white sandy beaches, some full of life, restaurants and umbrellas, and some are more calm.

The second great thing about Naxos is the prices. Everything is a bit cheaper in this island, compared to the other Cyclades islands.

Its also very easy to take daytrips to other islands close by, as Naxos has a lot of ferries going every single day. You can go to Santorini, Paros, Milos, Mykonos, Ios, among others. So Naxos is the perfect place for Greek island hopping🙌

We do believe many of the other islands have more picturesque streets than Naxos. The streets in Naxos is also cute, and they have narrow shopping streets with lots of shops, but the neverending Greek streets with lots of bougainvilleas is more common in the other close islands such as Mykonos and Paros🌸

Naxos has a lot of restaurants to choose between, both along the harbor, and in the narrow streets. You will not feel like you are missing any options regarding food🤤

All in all: We think Naxos is a great island where you get a lot of Value for your money. If nice beaches and affordable prices are important to you, you should definitely choose Naxos💙🇬🇷

OUR BEST TIPS WHEN GOING TO CAPPADOCIA❤️✨️🇹🇷

Regarding acommodation: We stayed at both Koza Cave Hotel and Sultan Cave suites. We absolutely loved Koza and will recommend it to everyone. (This is not an ad, just our honest opinion). Nice rooms, incredible no crowded terrace views over the balloons, the best breakfast and cute kittens🐱🇹🇷 But if you would prefer more budget friendly acommodation, there is a lot of budget friendly places to choose between too!

The restaurants we chose to recommend is based on which restaurants we feel had the best atmostphere and food by all the restaurants we tried. Afara had the most amazing dinner atmostphere with lots of dimmed lights, live music and nice staff. The food was also amazing😍 Kale terasse restaurant had the cutest decorations with lots of flowers and lamps. We loved the flowery atmostphere and think the food was delicious there😍

5 CRUCIAL THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE GOING TO MALDIVES:

♡There is a high risk of bad weather, especially if you travel in low season. Maldives usually costs a lot, so we do not want you to experience the same as we did, with 5 out of 7 days with heavy rain😅 We trusted Google saying it is usually sunny every day in low season. Well..we do not agree on that one.
♡When you book a hotel or resort, be aware that most probably you need to buy a seaplane ride to the island you are staying. This is usually not included in the acommodation price. This can cost around 500USD for t/r per person, depending on how far away your island is from Male. Some islands are also reachable by speedboat which is a little cheaper than the seaplanes. Still..this cost is on top of everything else.
♡Be aware that the seaplanes do not fly when its dark!! So make sure your arrival flight lands before 3.30pm and that your departure flight goes after 9 am.
♡The seaplanes usually allows a maximum baggage weight of 25kg per person.
♡If you are travelling to a more budget friendly place, which is usually the local islands, be aware that alcohol is prohibited, due to Maldives beeing a muslim country.
