2. Hosting: This is what house or accommodate your website files like the contents, pictures and videos.

3. Theme: Is the overall look, feel and style of your website. This includes things like the color scheme, layout and style elements. In essence, your website theme is a direct representation of your brand and has a direct impact on your users' experience.

4. Plugin: Is a piece of software that adds new features or extends functionality of a wordpress website, allowing you to create any kind of website, from ecommerce stores to portfolios to directory sites.

5. Frontend: The frontend of a website is what you see and interact with on your browser. Also referred to as “client-side”, it includes everything the user experiences directly: from text and colors to buttons, images, and navigation menus.

6. Backend: The backend (or “server-side”) is the portion of the website you don’t see. It’s responsible for storing and organizing data, and ensuring everything on the client-side actually works. The backend communicates with the frontend, sending and receiving information to be displayed as a web page. Whenever you fill out a contact form, type in a web address, or make a purchase (any user interaction on the client-side), your browser sends a request to the server-side, which returns information in the form of frontend code that the browser can interpret and display.

I believe 99% of us here want to learn how to design a website because you know how lucrative it is right?

When you hear the word WEB DESIGN, you get moved, and the first thing that comes to your mind is you want to make money, build your dream house, drive the latest car, and try to impress that babe in your class or neighbourhood. 😀

But your mind is telling you that you must know how to code or become a programmer before you can design a website, And this gets you pi**ed off because coding is hard and it can take you years to master it.

Technology has made building a website easier okay, you don't need to be a coder/software developer or a programmer before you can design any website.

With a content management system (CMS) you can start building any website by just drag and dropping the layout of your website in just 3 weeks.

A content management system is software that helps users create, manage, and modify content on a website without the need for specialized technical knowledge.

CMS has many components which allow you to build a website, Examples of CMS are WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magneto, Shopify etc.

WordPress is the most popular CMS globally which powered 43% of websites worldwide and it has the largest community of developers.

The beautiful thing I love most about Wordpress is that you can use it to create any websites and mobile app is that not cool? Don't be surprise because I mention mobile app GiG Go app for e-commerce business is built with a WordPress.

In 2012 - 2013, GTBank frontend website was built with Joomla. Joomla is a nice CMS because its communities of developers are not as large as WordPress. Hence, they migrated to WordPress.
Till this present moment their frontend website still runs on WordPress. I learnt how to design website using Joomla but because of this same reason I port to WordPress.

These are just a few companies we know that use WordPress to design their website, in fact if you don't know today foreign businesses/clients prefer designers or developers to build their website with WordPress reason is that after development they can easily manage the website by themselves like updating the contents, changing contact info, uploading images, creating pages and menu etc.
