A man who was jailed briefly in 2018 in a s*x assault case, out on bail ever since, allegedly shot dead the survivor's father on Monday in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras district, about 200 km from Delhi.
An argument at around 4:30 PM on Monday, the Hathras Police said, between the family of the survivor and the accused's family outside a village temple ended up in the shooting incident, leading to the death of the survivor's father on way to hospital.

In a detailed statement on social media, the Hathras Police said Gaurav Sharma, the accused, was jailed for a month in 2018 after a molestation case was filed against him by the woman's father. He was granted bail by a local court after a month and had been out of the prison since then.

"The man who died had filed a case against Gaurav Sharma in July 2018 for molestation. The accused went to jail and got bail after a month. Since then, both families were hostile to each other. The wife and aunt of the main accused had gone to a village temple to pray where both daughters of this man were present. The women had an argument. The accused - Gaurav Sharma - and the woman's father intervened and the argument between the men intensified. After this, Gaurav flew into a rage and called some boys from his family to the scene and shot at the man," Hathras Police chief Vineet Jaiswal said in a video statement released on Twitter.

One family member of Gaurav Sharma, has so far been arrested in the case. Asking officials to take strict action in the case, CM Yogi Adityanath has given directions to officials to invoke the tough National Security Act against all the accused involved in the case.

कानपुर जिले में ग्राम पंचायत चुनाव की तैयारियों ने तेजी पकड़ ली है. पंचायत के पदों के लिए आरक्षण तय किए जाने के साथ ही मतदताओं की सूची फाइनल करने का काम भी चल रहा है.

कानपुर. ग्राम प्रधान, बीडीसी, जिला पंचायत सदस्य और ग्राम पंचायत सदस्य पद के लिए चुनाव की तैयारियां युद्ध स्तर पर शुरू हो गई हैं. शासन स्तर से यह तय हो चुका है कि जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष, किस जिले में कितने प्रधान और बीडीसी सदस्य और ग्राम पंचायत सदस्य के पद आरक्षित होंगे. अब जिला स्तरीय कमेटी आरक्षित गांव, बीडीसी सदस्य, ग्राम पंचायत सदस्य और जिला पंचायत के साथ किस ब्‍लॉक में प्रमुख का पद आरक्षित होगा इसका निर्धारण करेगी.
मतदाता सूची में नाम बढ़ाने का काम भी तेजी से चल रहा है. जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने बताया कि अधिसूचना जारी होने की तिथि तक कोई भी व्यक्ति सूची में नाम बढ़वा सकता है. यदि आप ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में रहते हैं और मतदाता सूची में नाम बढ़वाना चाहते हैं तो अपने ब्‍लॉक या तहसील कार्यालय में स्थित मतदाता सेवा केंद्र में जाकर आवेदन दे सकते हैं.

यदि नाम नहीं जुड़वाया तो वोट नहीं डाल सकेंगे
सहायक जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी पंचायत वीके श्रीवास्तव ने बताया कि मतदाता सूची में नाम बढ़ाने, संशोधित करने का कार्य चल रहा है. यह कार्य जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी द्वारा अधिसूचना जारी होने की तिथि तक चलेगा. अगर वोटर लिस्ट में नाम नहीं जुड़वाया तो वोट नहीं डाल पाएंगे.

Ghaziabad News : युवकों को छेड़छाड़ करना पड़ा महंगा, छात्रा ने दौड़कर की धुनाई

दिल्ली मेरठ मार्ग पर एक छात्रा से छेड़छाड़ करना 2 युवकों को भारी पड़ गया। छेड़छाड़ का विरोध करने पर बदमाशों ने छात्रा को धक्का देकर साइकल से गिरा दिया। छात्रा उठी और दोनों का पीछाकर पकड़ लिया। फिर दौड़ाकर दोनों की धुनाई शुरू कर दी। राहगीरों को पता चला तो उन्होंने भी पीटा, फिर मोदीनगर थाना पुलिस के हवाले कर दिया।मोदीनगर की एक कॉलोनी में रहने वाली 17 साल की छात्रा 12वीं में पढ़ती है। रविवार को वह एक ट्यूटर के पास पढ़ने जा रही थी। सुबह 10 बजे के आसपास तेल मिल गेट के सामने 2 युवकों ने उसका पीछा शुरू कर दिया। अश्लील टिप्पणी का विरोध करने पर दोनों ने उसे धक्का देकर साइकल से गिरा दिया।
