Margrethe Blossom Dearie was an American jazz singer and pianist. She had a recognizably light and girlish voice. She always chose wonderful songs. I love her piano playing. What many people don’t realize about her is that she didn’t really improvise. She would play the same solo/routine each time. But you could never really notice.
