Today at the salon my client was running a tad late b/c she was vaccinating her cows 🐄 like 90 of them… then she proceeded to sit on the edge of her chair while I told her what’s new in my world 🌎…. She says it’s like a Soap Opera and she wants to know what’s next!!!!

🤦‍♀️ it’s taken me a YEAR to get this piece of paper 📄 so many hoops to jump thru since I went to school in NY including taking ANOTHER exam 🥵

When I went to beauty school FT in 2019-20 it was my “anti empty-nest” plan…. My cat was 18 (she’s now 21 🍹), my kid was in high school and my Husband was working 60+ hours a week for 20+ years and I had been Year 6 deep into infertility — the thought of working from home ALONE terrified me 😱

So, I figured I’d work at a salon while she’s in school and get experience to Open my own shop when she graduates — and then I won’t stay home and cry all day I’ll be among people and no longer need to “work from home” as I have done now for 17 years!

Turns out I make a really 💩 employee cuz I like to make my own hours and take lots of time off…. Like my 3 trips to FL 🌴 in 5 months 👍

I’ve legit been offered… and the un-offered 2 independent salon jobs for my entrepreneurial spirit, once when I first graduated and once this past fall — I’m a free spirit no biz owner wants to try to tame 😂

In fact, when I looked into my local empire beauty school about 10 years ago the admission rep looked at me and said “what do you do? I want your job!”.

So here I am with this piece of paper today that reminds me LIFE doesn’t go as planned and we should follow the nudges that try to put us on course, accept the winds of change, and embrace the path of least resistance — to know timing is everything and in everything there is perfect timing for our deepest desires to come into our life!

Speaking of desires….

Did I mention I only went to beauty school for “fun” 🎉 ya know like how someone would take cooking lessons but have no intentions of being a professional chef — but, Nov. 2020 was a GAME CHANGER when I found and founded A Hair Obssessed, 2 beautiful things I could have never ever planned for if I tried.

With this paper I know deep in my soul, behind a chair it was never meant to be…. Part of my journey, yes, my destination no way!
