Lavender Sweep Records have compiled a compilation celebrating the rich stoner, sludge and doom bands past and present from this here city here.
The details are below, but what i will add is that all profits are being donated to Maggie's Swansea, charity which provides free one-to-one cancer support and information at their centre in Sketty and online.

Right, late update time. Sorry for the quiet spell, s**t got busy.

If you've been living under an internet free rock for the past few weeks you may not have noticed that HWDU have released their long awaited 'Love Crime EP'. I'm sure a few of you spun the single 'Space Punk', well if you liked that you'll like the rest of it.
It's available on https://hwdu.bandcamp.com for £5, for 6 songs, 21 minutes, that's some decent bang for your proverbial buck.
The single is still up there for free (or donate if you want), so yeah go spin it.

It's the first single off the upcoming 'Love Crime EP' which is out on the 28th of May, which is now available to preorder on bandcamp for a reasonable fee of £5!

Theatrical, lush of production, warm and with an operatic aspect fit to purpose, this lead single from the forthcoming album Everything in Reverse - the spawn of Owen's new Kintsugi No. 21 entity - is mindfully modern. Very much a creature of the studio, track upon track piled and plowed one into and onto the other and the next, heady in aspiration, Vertigo is nothing if not ambitious, watching itself with an almost obsessive compulsion, a power of introversion exploding it finally outward. Its depths never hidden, this is crystal balls out Goth overdrive, with all of the echoes and hall of mirror preoccupations common to its genre. Impressive for its technical achievement even to a sceptic such as I am, seductive in an uncomplicatedly commercial way, Vertigo's kitten sunk drama has a peculiar appeal, pretty as a new day falling.

Kintsugi No.21 is the brand debut solo project from Welsh composer/ producer Maria Owen. Fusing her darker influences and styles to create a gothic rock/electronica dreamscape which explores the human condition through the juxtaposition between her manually played instruments and synthesis.

We are super stoked to be working with Maria on her KintsugiNo.21 project, which we've been sitting on for a while now while it cooks, and it sounds stellar. A total solo recording endeavour, mixed by Robert Jones, mastered by Tim Hamill, it is a journey through the darker side of pop full of ear worms.
It's out on the 12th of March on all usual platforms and we will provide links in due course.
This is brand new music! We're helping put out new music! YES!

Kintsugi No.21 and Savage State Music are proud to announce that the debut single 'Vertigo' shall be released on 12th March and shall be available on all platforms including Spotify and iTunes...Links shall be announced shortly.
Also the debut album 'Everything in Reverse' (that Maria recorded solely over the last 4 years, between moments of madness and struggles with self belief/ cabin fever) shall finally be available on all platforms from 1st May.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make this possible through crowdfunding to sharing and just being amazingly supportive, through to my family and partner Ben Baljak (for all your patience), Jones (Art making animal) and Tim Hamill for bringing it to life through your incredible post production skills. I am truly humbled by each and every one of you for believing in me.
To all of you that contributed via my crowdfunder campaign, you will have early access plus a few extras (for your patience) leading up to the releases so please keep an eye on your inboxes over the next fortnight.

The Otso

Now the chrimbo/new year dust has settled, thought it would be a good idea to send out a thank you.
A bunch of you tuned into The Sheershock Revival on Spotify (also on all other streamers) and bandcamp and that genuinely warms the cockles of my heart. We're not breaking any records when it comes to listener numbers but it was never about that, it's all about getting music out there and seeing where it goes. (In this example, from the mighty Neath to Canada to New Zealand. That's mental).
So yes, thank you. I hope we made your holiday period a bit more distorted.

Looking into the future we have a few irons in the fire, 1 or 2 brand new releases, which we will post about in due course. Soon.
