How do you deal with those who cross the line;

Make barely veiled insults;

Take advantage of your good nature;

Whether friends, family, your colleagues, or even your boss?

Or do you always turn the other cheek?

Ask Patricia Show LIVE here on fb here 7.10pmEST

20/02/2021

Tonight, on LIVE, we discuss BODY ACCEPTANCE.

Its all very well chanting self love and self care, but have we yet come to the place of accepting our own bodies?

Are we still chasing that aspirational ideal?

Are we still listening to that little voice that attacks our self worth if we are not 'slim enough'?

Do we feel going under the knife to get those "oh so desirable curves" a good investment?

Who sets all these ideals?

How has your body image affected how you have lived your life?

Where are you on your journey to body acceptance?

ON FB LIVE, ASK PATRICIA SHOW Page.

Can you truly give your heart to someone else fully?

How can you avoid the pain of the last relationship becoming baggage in the new one?
How do you know when you're ready to date again?
How do you avoid the rebound man?

The "In the Midnight Hour" ladies panel discuss. Join the conversation. Do you resonate, what do you think, what do you suggest?

How can we develop real self love?
Plus how do we recognise healthy love and prepare for a harmonious loving relationship?

Dr Ryeal Simms from Hollywood California brings his knowledge of why we do what we do to our discussion.

The ladies on the panel tonight are discussing "self love".

Coming to the realisation that we are responsible for our own lives; that we cannot sit and wait around for someone to make us happy, or otherwise validate us. We are our own rescue. If we do not love ourselves, we cannot expect others to do so.

Yet so many of us have a big issue with loving ourselves.

We talk about our struggles on the way towards self acceptance and self love.

We talk about it in the context of being black women.

We talk about it in the context of our relationships.

We talk about it in the context of our relationship with ourselves.

We talk about it in the context of facing our limiting beliefs.

We talk about it in context of daring to reach for the top...

What is your conversation around self love? Come and join the chat tonight midnight UK, 7pm EST, 4pm PST right here on facebook.

18/07/2020

This is a glorious Saturday afternoon and I fully intend to go out and enjoy it. But first, working on another chapter of my book (My Kind of Beauty), a chapter a day keeps me on schedule. However, whilst the diffuser is wafting the aroma of jasmine into the air, I wanted to acknowledge a feeling sitting just beneath the surface of my emotions.

I received some disappointing news on Thursday and to be quite honest, it should ruin my outlook. In the past when faced with disappointment of this kind, I would become cast down and my default response would be to pray about it.

However, this time I have decided not to RSVP.

I am not going to that particular party.

I have concluded that things happen and I don't have to get caught up in it all. I do not want to invest time, energy, emotions, or even prayer to focus on this situation.

What you focus on expands.

Instead, I am continuing my trajectory. I am looking at my intentions and making sure I am not distracted.

I want to experience expansion in a different dimension of my life and I won't be manipulated by bad news.

Life happens. But whatever happens I have it in me to continue to evolve. I have a lot of amazing and wonderful things taking place and will in no wise start a downwards spiral.

So, I am sharing this to remind anyone who needs this reminder, that they can choose how to respond to situations that arise. The phrase is, "life goes on".

How will you go on? In the great scheme of things, how serious is it really? Is it the end of the world? Have you overcome worse things in the past? Have you seen this before? Whatever your answer, do not be overcome, do not be shaken, keep walking your path, and you will come through it.

Now that I have practised that mindfulness, acknowledging the feelings, but saying to them, "I see you, but I am otherwise engaged", I am good.

Enjoy this super Saturday.

"The sun is shining and the weather is sweet.
So to the rescue, alright.
Sun is shining
Sun is shining
Sun is shining"

Over the last 5 years, what are you the most proud of accomplishing?

How have you been showing up in the world?

Are you ensuring that you are not being overlooked or ignored?

Are you confidently going in the direction of your dreams?

We want to hear all about it. We want to know what it took for you to accomplish those things. What did you learn about yourself and what did you learn about life? Is there anything you would have done differently? What advice would you give anyone who is maybe on the sidelines and hasn't stepped out as yet or who is ready to step out but could benefit from your experience?

As well as hearing your story we want to articulate how proud we are of you and let you know how HIGHLY FABULOUS you are!

Let's empower each other at the same time that we celebrate each other. You will need a glass of something delightfully sparkly as we celebrate in style.

Over the last few months, we have all been experiencing unusual circumstances. Many of us were restricted from seeing friends and family and had very little other social interaction.

As human beings we are made to connect, we are made to be social and thus It was a trying time for many.

I decided to handle it by taking a personal retreat. Granted it was mainly in my own house, but I managed to create a special dedicated space for myself where I could relax, meditate, read, pray, journal and generally encourage and nurture my inner self.

Then, as the weeks went by I extended that space in the local park which was several acres across, comprising water fountains, rose gardens, ponds, swans, ducks, other local wildlife etc. It was the perfect place to release and let go of any anxieties and my new meditation habit truly came into its own.

Having this time for self, although enforced, was a good thing. I must confess its because I decided to make it so. I am a person who likes to makes her own decisions. I do not take kindly to being controlled. So having the autonomy to go and come, within reason, was most important.

Not only did I spend time taking care of my emotional well-being, I also went to daily business trainings of up to an hour each. As well, I still had my current clients and some new ones to serve. Working from home was nothing new for me, but it was essential to be aware of what was happening in my industry. It is important not to react to change but instead to respond. I was careful not to be tempted to start doing new things just because there was an overwhelming pressure, I wanted to come from a place of truth and not just jump on the latest bandwagon.

However, all of this creativity and new insight from my business trainings has to manifest somewhere. So, here we have a Brand New Talk Show, IN THE MIDNIGHT HOUR.

This is a platform for us to articulate our stories, find a space to breathe, an empowerment forum. As personal as it is intended to be, we also look at what's happening in and around us, as in current affairs, because we do not live in a vacuum.

My collaborators are 4 incredible women,Carolyn Morris-Walker, Chrys-Ann Ambrose, Rebecca Williams, and Sapphira Lessey.

So far, we have been delving into the issue that is leading headlines everywhere and that is, of course, racism. As a black woman, this concerns me. This has been a healthy space to talk about my feelings on the matter. Its a place of no judgement or blame but instead a place of support, understanding and elevation. I truly value this space. It looks as though others do too and I have so many messages of support in my inbox telling how much this is needed and how much they enjoy these conversations.

If you want to join in honest conversations about things that matter to you, join us in the midnight hour UK time, 7pmEST and 4pmPST Friday evenings. We look forward to chatting with you.

In the meantime take a look around and check out our previous shows

As a life coach, I am all about getting a plan for my life and working my plan.
Today, more than ever, we must strategically move forward and make plans for successful living.

On this show we are coming together to discuss making a bigger impact, and how we can progress despite the challenges around us, and in particular the challenge of racism.

How are you moving forward in your career? Unless we have a strategy for our financial well being, then we cannot build with strength.

How are you moving forward with your faith? Without this as a foundation, it is impossible to win and overcome in life. What part does your faith play and has it been tested?

How are you moving forward with your health? Your health is your wealth. How can we best take care of our physical and emotional well-being? Lets talk ways in which we can improve in these areas, otherwise success is meaningless.

PLUS, are you using your voice to self-advocate? If you are not using your voice, you will not be heard. You will instead be overlooked. We share some confidence tips on how you can have your say and amplify your voice in any situation.
