GOOD MORNING

Today is Wednesday. Hump day if you’re Quasimodo or super h***y.

Today is Old Farmers Day. They’re the as****es responsible for making us change our clocks twice a year for no goddamn reason. F**k old farmers.

Today is Moment Of Frustration Day, the holiday I celebrate every moment of every day of my life.

Today is national gumbo day. I don’t know what you want to do about that.

Today is National Take Your Parents To Lunch Day - pass.

Today is National Take Your Teddy Bear To Work Day, otherwise known as the day you get fired day.

Today is Josh Hutcherson’s birthday. He was famous for twenty minutes about ten years ago.

Today is Hugh Jackman’s birthday. Hugh is an award winning actor of stage and screen and definitely not a homosexual.

Have a good one.

I’m taking a break from watching the Lions this week. This means two things…

1) They will definitely win.

2) I will never know happiness.

Thoughts on today’s pro wrestling:

WWE is, by far, the most interesting promotion out there. Not always good, but at least it’s interesting. They are telling stories in a way no other wrestling company has before. Keeping the fans engaged and constantly guessing. Something that has been missing for a long time.

AEW is… well, that company is a mess. Half of their big stars are either suspended or injured and the booking is, at times, nonsensical. Wrestlers get a big push for a month then are completely forgotten about. That’s a major problem. However, if you’re a fan of in ring action, AEW is putting out PPV quality matches on free TV every single week.

IMPACT is probably the most underrated out of all the promotions. They’ve got solid performers putting on excellent matches and delivering great promos. They’ll never be able to compete with WWE, but really, who can?

I don’t get a chance the watch most of the other promotions from New Japan to NWA and everything in between, but I know they’re out there. Wrestling fans have never had this many choices… maybe ever, and there really is something for everybody.

If you’re a wrestling fan, enjoy it. If you’re not, give it a chance. As always, when wrestling is bad… it’s fu***ng terrible and embarrassing. But when it’s good, it’s the single greatest form of entertainment we have.

If you think about it - like, really think about it - none of it makes any fu***ng sense.

For those of you who give a s**t, I haven’t forgotten about the podcast again. A new episode will be out shortly.

RANKING THE NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET FRANCHISE.

Note: I will not be including the Nightmare on Elm Street remake (which is s**t) or, the short lived series, Freddy’s Nightmares.

7. Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)

This movie feels like it was made at gunpoint. the 3D element is forced and comes out of nowhere. There isn’t a likable or interesting character in the entire film, including Freddy himself. Huge failure.

6. A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child (1989)

When the best part of your movie is a song from the Fat Boys, you know you’ve got a problem.

5. A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge (1985)

This one is weird. Freddy is barely in it, but we do get a lot of ho******ic dancing. Fair trade?

4. A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988)

This is when the franchise started to take a turn for the worse, but it’s still loaded with creative kills and practical effects and - honestly - that’s really all we need when it comes to this franchise. Not the best, but a lot of fun.

3. Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994)

One of the most creative horror films of all time and one of the best in the series. The MVP here is Heather Langenkamp who plays a fictional version of herself. You can really see what an accomplished actor she had become since the first movie. New Nightmare did what Scream is praised for… two years earlier. Highly recommend.

2. A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984)

A classic. I don’t have enough time to talk about everything I love about this movie. IF you like horror films at all, you’ve already seen this. If you haven’t, it’s a must watch.

1. A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)

The Freddy character changed over the years, but this is the best version. He is just as scary and menacing as he was in the first two films, and the one liners and jokes hadn’t gotten out of hand. Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is one of my favorite movies and quite possibly the best horror sequel of all time.

That’s all I got for tonight. Thanks for reading… bitch.
