🔰 Abtin Sadati, known by his artist name Gaetha is a sound artist based in The Netherlands, who embraces self-expressionism, with a profound fascination for improvisation and algorithmic composition. His musical expression revolves around the fusion of self-designed digital musical instruments, capable of producing undertone drones or intricate noises, within immersive sonic environments and evolving soundscapes. His artistic endeavours delve deep into existential and emotional realms, aiming to encapsulate the precision of computer-generated compositions while reflecting the nonlinear essence of his being.

💥 OUT NIW 💥 Kilometre Club - Let Us Compare Geographies (vital034)

⚡ After slight silence we are coming back stronger than ever with a new release. Kilometre Club's latest album is a textured and slow-moving exploration of the size and scope of the Canadian landscape. Tracks were carefully built upon guitar loops, Bass VI swells, and synth pads, creating ethereal and flowing drones that evoke the distance between spaces. Many of these tracks unfold at glacial paces, highlighting the vastness between chord changes and the ways in which these songs evolve and fill out frequencies to create lush soundscapes.

🚩Kilometre Club is the moniker of Toronto-based musician Daniel Field, who has been creating ambient music. He has released music independently with labels such as Valley View Records, Healing Sound Propagandist, Polar Seas Recordings and We Are Busy Bodies. He also runs the Toronto-based digital ambient label Imaginary North.

It combines travel narratives with the unique sounds of remote landscapes, while exploring the emotions experienced when stepping out of one's comfort zone.

🔵 Rafael Diogo AKA Deep Dive Sound is most passionate about capturing stories associated with objects and places, resulting in creations that are both immediate and profound. These creations connect us to the sensory aspects of place and time, evoking a subtle sense of nostalgia for things that may have slipped from our memories.

Kamizdat has new compilation out. Ida Hirsenfelder (beepblip) & Robertina Sebjanic have gathered huge and extremely beautiful compilation of exploratory sound (28 tracks!) - all donated by international and local artists for people to be able to donate to efforts of saving lives in danger from recent floods. All financial contributions from the sale of the compilation will be sent to the flood relief fund of the Volunteer Fire Fighting Society, Črna na Koroškem. Please consider to support it.

⚠️ “Travelling Waves II was recorded on a pipe organ in a former synagogue, which is part of the Willem Twee Studios in the Netherlands. This album focusses on the quirks of the old organ, its mechanical noises, the breathing of the pump and the sighing of the pipes rather than on actual tonal playing. The organ felt like a wounded beast that reacts to touch, groaning, snarling and changing position with snapping joints, scarred but very much alive. Instead of making the beast sing, I want to listen to what it had to say when I let it speak for itself.”
