We are still on our mission to raise awareness about the campaign against period poverty in Nigeria and we would appreciate your support. This amount can make a huge difference in their lives as it will provide them with essential items like pads, soap, writing materials, and access to counselling with a medical professional.

Our aim is to ensure that no girl misses out on vital menstrual hygiene resources and support. Have you ever heard of Brain Food?

If this is your first time hearing about the brain food well, I felt as curious as you are now when I read about this first in the book, LIMITLESS by Jim Kwik. But if you've heard it before, then let's imagine you haven't 😊.

The human brain operates at a very high metabolic rate, using a substantial portion of the body's total energy and nutrient intake (Sarris et al., 2015). Without proper nutrition to fuel our brain transmission and function, our brain is left vulnerable (Altomare et al., 2017).

Glucose is the primary energy source for the brain, which needs it to function. Numerous meals contain this simple sugar, which is transported in the bloodstream and used as fuel by tissue cells all over the body.

In the picture below, is a list of numerous meals that our brains would love cause they will make our brains function better or smarter.

I am delighted to share the highlights of our recent comprehensive security training session, which was organized by the Biodun Coker Foundation in Lagos Island. We had an excellent turnout with members from Lagos State Neighbourhood Watch, Odua Peoples Congress, and dedicated police officers. Our primary objective was to empower our community with enhanced security skills, covering soft, hard, and digital techniques, alongside crucial lessons on data privacy. Additionally, we emphasized the importance of community policing and fostering partnerships for safer neighbourhoods. As the training facilitator, what made the experience even more special for me was my ability to quickly switch to pidgin and a bit of Yoruba to ensure everyone, regardless of educational background, grasped the content. It was heartwarming to see their joy and enthusiasm at the end.
