New mural unveiled at Lynette Woodard Recreation Center
A new mural was unveiled Saturday at the Lynette Woodard Recreation Center, 2750 E. 18th St., in Wichita.
The mural recognizes the contributions of residents in the local basketball community and was created by local artist Priscella Brown.
Those honored are: Lynette Woodard, Larry Dennis, Johnny Murcock, Korleone Young, Maurice Evans, Angela Buckner, Adrian Griffin, Collen Bowser Edwards, Taj Gray, Aubrey Sherrod and LaToya Randle.

Pouring concrete for Jackie Robinson pedestal
Crews work on pouring concrete for a new pedestal at McAdams Park on Tuesday. The pedestal, about 4 feet high, is for League 42's new Jackie Robinson statue, which will be unveiled Aug. 5.
