One of the ways that  use consumer behaviour to understand consumer's choices is by understanding personality traits. Understanding, personality traits,  can better target its advertising and marketing efforts, and create products that appeal to specific personality types. For example, people who are classified as "sensation seekers" tend to be attracted to products that are new and exciting, while "sensation avoiders" tend to prefer products that are familiar and safe. Knowing this information  can create products and marketing campaigns that are tailored to appeal to specific personality types.

Another way that  uses consumer behaviour is by observing patterns in purchase behaviour. Understanding how and why consumers make purchase decisions  can better anticipate future trends and needs. For example, if  notices that a particular group of consumers tends to purchase products after a major life event (such as getting married or having a child), the company can create marketing campaigns that are specifically designed to target this group.
