today’s national hugging day! for all the love you give to others, don’t forget to give some to yourself as well. whether it’s a hug or setting boundaries with others, self love is a process.

it’s okay if you’re not completely at self love. sometimes self acceptance is more than enough 🌱

have you checked-in with your loved ones recently? can you relate to any of these? 🌱

⛅️ i’ve been making an effort to check in with relatives and friends who i haven’t heard from in a while. especially after the holiday season, it’s easy to lose touch with the people you love (including yourself!)

prioritizing myself looked like getting a little extra sleep last night! my schedule hasn’t been much of a schedule 🙈 (but i’m working on it!)

it can be really difficult to put yourself first. with work, family, errands, school, and an endless list of responsibilities, it’s easy to put yourself at the bottom of that list.

although it isn’t the perfect middle of the week yet, i hope your week has been pretty good so far ✨

checking in with myself during the week and pausing to reflect is a habit i’m bringing with me to 2023. it’s not a perfectly peaceful reflection that i always remember to do, but it’s a calming addition to my routines.

even more than asking, *accepting* help can be hard sometimes. i’ve always been encouraged to do things on my own and be a ✨ powerful, amazing, stunning, independent woman! ✨which is a really good thing to strive for.

but it also needs balance, you know? you can be your own independent person while having strong connections and relationships with the people you love most. and part of that connection can include helping each other.

sometimes i really wish our brains had a little daily reset button. or an automatic “save for later” section. while these things don’t *really* exist, there are lots of little ways to make your thoughts a little clearer and calmer.
