When illegal card dealer and recovering he**in addict Frankie Machine (Frank Sinatra) gets out of prison, he decides to straighten up. Armed with nothing but an old drum set, Frankie tries to get honest work as a drummer. But when his former employer, small-time con man Schwiefka (Robert Strauss), and Frankie's old drug dealer, Louis (Darren McGavin), re-enter his life, Frankie finds it hard to stay clean and eventually finds himself succumbing to his old habits.

Someone asked me what my favorite movie, that's not a western, that we broadcast on ZIVA-TV. I said there are actually two that I like and can watch over and over. The 1st one is "Holiday Affair" Starring Robert Mitchum and Janet Leigh. I love the scene with Harry Morgan from MASH.
The Second is "A Stranger In Town" starring the Wizard himself, Frank Morgan. It's a short movie but very funny comedy from the 1940's

Prompted by the late Mr. Dietrichson's daughter, Lola (Jean Heather), insurance investigator Barton Keyes (Edward G.
