Reposted from Pre-service teachers tend to get overlooked in the discourse regarding education and the pandemic. Yet, this new generation of teachers are entering schools in a significantly different setting and expectation. Challenges include but not limited to:

A) online teaching practicum as a teacher trainee when what they’ve been taught during their years in the university/IPG is physical teaching, not online teaching

b) lecturers and pre-service teachers being detached from the current school issues resulting in stress, underperformance and low practicum marks

c) preparation to join the teaching force

So sign up for this webinar (link in bio) as we unpack the issues related to the above challenges!

Let us know your questions/concerns on the new curriculum! Who knows, we might get to have an online PLC with her 😀

Here's an alternative to teacher observation. Perhaps the teacher will get to see what they have been wanting to learn about by watching their peers instead of the coach (and it's totally fine!)

Have you watched SELTS 2.0 Day 4? We had Mdm Kaliswary M Subramaniam (MACEE) on the Fulbright TEA programme and other online English programmes for teacher offered by the US Embassy.
