😍 First edition of the Turtle Wax Modern Classic car rally in Mumbai.

It was supported by car care brand Turtle Wax and organised by Autocar India along with Shaman Youngtimers

It was India’s first ever car rally dedicated to modern classics generally between 10 and 30 years old. 😲

The rally featured around 40 iconic cars 🚗 manufactured between the 1970s and the early 2000s. The cars were driven in a convoy over the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and returned to Sofitel Hotel, BKC.

Cars like Jaguar E-type, a BMW E30 that once belonged to art and motorsport aficionado Jehangir Nicholson, as well as Mercedes-Benz SLs, Pontiac Firebirds and a Honda NSX were some of those that featured in the rally. 🔥

It's like love tale remembrance. 😊

Interesting Car Facts 15: Glovebox 🙌

Earlier steering wheels were wrapped in heated suede, made from hard materials like metal and wood.

These became incredibly hot in summer and freezing in winter, and one’s hands would get quite cold while driving, so drivers would often done gloves to protect their hands. 👆

But driving gloves served little purpose once the driver arrived at their destination, so they would often be left on the seat.

Automakers eventually began installing locking compartments in their vehicles.

Pioneering British racing driver, Dorothy Levitt may have been the first one to use the term glove compartment in reference to these pockets. 🚗

Launch International: Dacia (Renault) Jogger MPV revealed at Munich motor show

1. It is spiritual successor to the Renault Lodgy and will be the cheapest 7-seat family car to go on sale in some markets.

2. The model will be sold as a Renault in some overseas markets.

3. The Jogger has 200mm of ground clearance and, at 4,547mm length

4. Even though it’s an MPV, the Jogger gets a crossover look, with modular roof bars, scuff plates and body cladding all around.

5. The interior of the Jogger is identical to that of the Sandero, sharing the floating touchscreen infotainment system, climate control k***s, steering wheel and instrument cluster.

6. Dacia is offering three systems for the multimedia interface – Media Control, which comprises a smartphone cradle and docking station.

7. The Media Display adds four speakers and an 8.0-inch touchscreen; and Media Nav, which brings wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Big Launch Today: 2021 Honda Amaze Facelift Launched at Rs. 6.32 Lakh 🔥🔥

1. This is the first mid-life facelift for the second-generation Honda Amaze.🚗

2. The facelifted Honda Amaze continues to be offered in three key variants - E, S and VX, and except for the base variants, all three trims get a CVT automatic option as well.

3. As for the cabin, Honda has added satin silver accents to the dashboard and new fabric upholstery, but the rest of the cabin remains unchanged.

4. Under the hood, the 2021 Honda Amaze facelift comes with the same petrol and diesel engines options. The former is a 1.2-litre i-VTEC unit, which develops 89 bhp and 110 Nm, whereas the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel motor is tuned to make 99 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque.💪

Realistically it gives aroud 15 kmpl and is decent enough in the segment.

3. Safety Rating: 3/5
Rated 3 on 5 at GNCAP, it is decent rating for aspire.

4. Service Rating: 4.5/5
Ford Service is really good. Though service centres may be little busy. But quality is not compromised.

5. Looks and Features: 4/5
Good solid external and internal features. Infotainment is the best. One could argue for the need of lighter tone of beige used in dash. A big miss is the rear ac vents.

6. Space: 4.5/5
359 litres boot space is little less than other products in the market. Second row space is fantastic.

Overall: 25/30. A few updates and this would be dream car for sedan buyers under 10 lakhs. 🚗

It offers 1199cc engine with a maximum power of 84bhp. It comes in 5 gear MT and AMT.
Power lag can be seen while driving. Gears and plates are decent. Suspension is good.

2. Mileage: 4/5
Realistically it gives aroud 15 kmpl and is decent enough in the segment.

3. Safety Rating: 4/5
This is rated as 4 stars by GNCAP rating and its gives confidence while buying for family.

4. Service Rating: 3.5/5
Though Tata Service is improving, but it is still far from peers. Dealer dependency is much more in case of Tata.

5. Looks and Features: 4.5/5
Decent external body design and light interiors. Infotainment system is not the best, but the speakers by harman are top notch making music playing an enjoyable process. ABS, EBD and corner stability system are highlights of tigor.

6. Space: 5/5
419 litres boot space is more than sufficient. Second row space is also good. A tall person of 6feet can be easily accomodated.

Overall: 24/30. Underated car, that you should definitely go for. 🚗

It has 1199 cc petrol engine producing power of 89bhp and 1498 diesel producing max power of 99bhp.
Amaze comes in 2 variants - Manual and CVT. Engine is smooth but there is a lag between 2500 to 4000 rpm.
Ride quality has improved with better suspension. If we overlook the nitty gritties of Amaze, then it is a great car to drive.

2. Mileage: 3.5/5
Realistically it gives aroud 14 kmpl and is decent enough in the segment.

3. Safety Rating: 4/5
It is rated as 4 stars by GNCAP rating and its body shell is rated stable.

4. Service Rating: 4/5
Honda cars scheduled service is more frequent, meaning higher costs. But overall experience makes up for it.

5. Looks and Features: 4/5
Aggressive body design with hard plastics and dual colours used inside the cabin. Infotainment is good. A big miss is the rear a/c vents. Also, fittings leave much to be desried.

6. Space: 4/5
420 litres boot space is more than sufficient. Second row space is also good. A tall person of 6feet may feel uncomfortable due to low roof design.

It has 1197cc Petrol engine and comes in both MT and AT version. It delivers max power of around 89bhp. Engine is very smooth. Steering Wheel and clutch is light and gearbox is also very easy to use. Ride quality is fantastic. Only downside is that at higher speeds of above 100, there is lack of stability.

2. Mileage: 4/5
Realistically 15 kmpl. Though company company claims it to greater than 20kmpl.

3. Safety Rating: 2/5
GNCAP rated 2 star car. Notorious for being called tin can, this maruti product with 2 airbags is still not upto the mark

4. Service Rating: 4/5
Maruti's service is much better than peers and numerous centres only add to the value. Only downside is rising costs.

5. Looks and Features: 4/5
Decent outer body look. Internal look is also good with multiple colours and fake wood touch. Infotainment system is a bit laggy but does the job. Features like ABS, EBD all makes it a good package.

6. Space: 4/5
378 litre boot space is enough space and decent space in 2nd row makes it a cumulative package.

The ride quality is pretty awesome and suspension is also good. You can adjust steering wheel weight using Normal and sport mode. Overall a big winner

Realistically 14 kmpl. Though company company claims it to greater than 17kmpl.

This is Global NCAP's 5 star rated car. It claims highest rating for both adult and child.

It has 1497cc Diesel and 1199cc Petrol engine on offer. The car comes with both MT and AMT. Max power nexon delivers is around 108bhp. The engine is much peppier now, but still not as great as its peers. Eco, Sport and City modes does justice to their names. Suspension is somewhat hard but overall ride quality is comfortable.

2. Mileage: 4.5/5
Realistically 15 kmpl. For a heavy nexon, this mileage looks great.

3. Safety Rating: 5/5
This is Global NCAP's first 5 star rated car in india. Gives immense confidence if buying for family.

4. Service Rating: 3/5
It is improving but a far cry from the excellence lead by Hyundai. It really depends upon reliability of your dealer in case of any issues.

5. Looks and Features: 4/5
Decent external body look with 161 mm height clearance. Infotainment system is little laggy but harman speakers are beast. Playing songs is such a joy in nexon. Materials used are also good.

6. Space: 3.5/5
350 litre boot space and good 2nd row space makes it comfortable. The only red flag is the slant roof at back. If a person is 6 feet or more, your head might touch ceiling and make it uncomfortable to sit.

2. Mileage: 3.5/5
Realistically 14 kmpl. Though company company claims it to be greater than 18kmpl

3. Safety Rating: 4/5
It gets overall 4 star rating in ANCAP rating. Top end variant also comes with 6 airbags.

4. Service Rating: 4/5
Best service among the peers. Service and spare parts cost is also less

5. Looks and Features: 4/5
Good external body look with 190 mm height clearance. Infotainment system is good, and other features are very useful.

6. Space: 3/5
350 litre boot space but less 2nd row space makes it uncomfortable for tall people.
