Starting March 16 until March 31, Eastern Visayas will stilll be under Alert Level 2 except for Tacloban City, Ormoc City and the Province of Biliran which will be placed under Alert Level 1, the most lenient category among the alert level systems in the country.

This is in connection to the continued decline of the daily reported number of COVID-19 cases, and the low-risk status of our Hospital Beds Utilization Rate in the region. In addition to these, the COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage of the provinces and cities contributed to the de-escalation of Tacloban City and Ormoc City, joining Biliran Province under Alert Level 1. These areas have achieved more than 70% of their target population as fully vaccinated. Moreover, 70-80% of their Priority Group A2 or the Senior Citizens are now fully vaccinated.

Let us continue to be champions of our BIDA Solusyon Plus campaigns, get vaccinated and boosted for maximum protection against COVID-19.
