An Anarchist’s Christmas Carol
A Non-Comformist may yet be humble.
If God came in the flesh, anything is possible, even a world of communes and councils, instead of our current state of affairs.
An Anarchist’s Christmas Carol
The Lord was born
in Bethlehem,
the masses stomped on idols.
The shepherds claimed
their share of earth
with melodies
so bridal.
A Child praised by the poor
showed up at morning’s shore,
brought hope to thief and whore.
Tra la la la la, la la la la!
Farewell to central hierarchies.
Goodbye to crooked measures.
No greedy fallen goddesses
or galleons with treasures.
The gold belonged to all!
A Child was born to all!
All governments did fall!
Tra la la la la, la la la la!
The Lord was born
in Bethlehem.
The wisemen followed thinking:
why was He born among the beasts
inside the cave a’ stinking?
Cooperatives break bread!
The black, the white, the red.
The living with the dead.
The world no earthly head!
Tra la la la la, la la la la!
