Former DA Bryce Graham gave me some personal insight to the DA's job and how it works. It was Brent Woodall's prosecutorial discretion to sentence Ashsli to 10 years probation and Major Rice, 3 years for almost beating me to death. It wa prosecutorial discretion when Angela Hulsey and Bryce Graham were in office and decided to put multiple charges on certain people and minor charges on others for the same crime. Prosecutorial discretion means they can pick and choose to sentence everyone to what they choose. If you're a white supremist or a group they don't like. You we'll get a harsher sentence. If they think you're a gang banger or a thug you'll be busted for ma*****na and do as much time as Major Rice for assaulting someone and attempting to kill them. Prosecutorial discretion. Hal Hughston's office had all the discretion they needed to give them a harsher sentence for what they did to me. They decided I wasn't worth it so they used their prosecutorial discretion to give them a slap on the wrist and say better luck next time. You go in with your boys you got busted for some pot and they'll give you a split sentence and you have to serve at least one to three. Based on their prosecutorial discretion and what they thought of you personally. The deals are not based on your crime, they are based on you and what they think of you. If they value you as a member of society or if you're someone they are prejudice against or look down on. Brent Woodsll's decision was because he disliked me. Bryce Graham was taking it to trial Angela Halsey was taking it to trial. Brent Woodall refused to take it to trial and gave them a pat on the back and said better luck next time. Prosecutorial discretion when they put drug charges on me that got thrown out because there were not any drugs. Bryce Graham told me he did it because I was indicted. No, he did it because he used his prosecutorial discretion to decide to try to convict me of something I did not do. It turned out he did not have any drugs to start with it was a bogus charge. Prosecutorial discretion is why some people are locked up for 10 years and someone gets probation for a violent crime that they intended to deform and kill someone. A guy went in for domestic abuse and got one year. He didn't beat her face in but he got one year for just that one charge. Major Rice is only going to serve 3 years for what he did to me. Brent Woodall handled both cases. . Everyone else who gets whichever DA is against you is the one who decided what you're going to get charged with and what your offers going to be. How much time you're going to do, all based on how they personally feel about you.

If you wonder why this is posted again. I have my reasons. Cheif Assistant DA Brent Woodall gave Ashlii Perry 10 years probation. Even though she jas violated it 3 times so far he will not revoke it. He gave Major Rice a split sentence. Major only has a year left to serve because he has been in jail. Major has a year more from convictions for threats. Brent Woodall refuses to add that to his time to serve. Ashlii had a warrant for her arrest the last time I was in Court. I had.a copy of.it in my hand. The Sheriff's deputies refused to arrest her. This is illegal, protocal demands if any law officer knows someone has a warrant they are required to arrest that person. I was.scheduled for trial with both of them, Brent Woodall would not allow it. Brent Woodall accused me of harassing them and basically told me I deserved it. My restitution was a joke. I had 20,000 in unpaid doctor bills. I lost everything and I am about to have my 8th procedure on my face. 30 trips to the surgeon 250 miles away. Hotel rooms for my parents when I had surgeries. I lost most of my belongings because my family was afraid for me to be there. They were next door because Sheffield had not arrested them..Major was standing on the front porch, my dad stood.on my front porch to protect me. I started receiving death threats the day after the assault. They also sent text to my whole family. Major even sent a n**e picture of himself to my mother. Restitution was 22,000. Only 2000, for all of my losses and expenses. Judge Brown did not object to any of it. Ashlii Perry was given a sentence for a none violent crime. Brent Wooall dropped the weapons charge which is a mandatory 10 years. Brent Woodall never even discussed what happened. Even with the videos, he thought I deserved it. Basically he patted them on the back aan said good job. Then I found out Hal Hughston had been Ashlii Perry's public defender before taking office. They were not even allowed to take my case by law.. IT WAS A CONFLICT OF INTEREST. Judge Brown knew this and did nothing. That is what the new DA of Colbert County Hal Hughston thought about it. Also he.broke the law. No one in Colbert County's legal system thought was right. They sentence people charged with.pot worse than what they did for first degree assault with weapon. I was denied my right to make a victims statement before sentencing, which is the most important victims right. All of my victims rights were violated. I am sure I am not the only.one treated this way. That is why so many victim's do not even report what happens to them.

THIS IS A MUST READ IF YOU ARE A MINORITY, HARRASSED OR CHARGED WITH A CRIME

How many of you buy the publications with the arrest and mugshots every week? How many read Pen n sword and believe what it states.to be fact? Now watch this video and ask yourself, how many people have we laughed at that weren't guilty? How many people have lost jobs, DHR gone to their homes and been looked down on for lies. They will even lie about what someone has actually been charged with to make them look bad. Pen n sword is always happy to help.
How many people are forced to chose between jail or a plea deal in Sheffield? They weren't even guilty. They were scared because they could not afford proper representation.
People who could have said something and tried to change things. They didn't because they were above the minorities it wasn't happening to them. They are privileged and you must have done something wrong. Why else would it happen? I know they could have helped me. I went to city council meetings. I told them what was happening. I showed them pictures. They just sat there on their high horses and let it happened to me again and again.
How many have been charged with felonies and misdemeanors from the same incident. The misdemeanor was tried in Sheffield. The felony sent to Circuit Court. That is illegal, Sheffield will make you plead out and take your money. If they separate them the misdemeanor must be dismissed. The public defender will tell you take the plea. If you are convicted it will be worse.
Have you ever been before the judge and watched the officer stand there and lie? You couldn't prove it.
Video tape it when they first start toward you. Get your phone out hit record. In the police dept and courthouse. Record everything while you are there. You cannot record in the courtroom it is illegal. If you see someone being harassed. Get your phone out. The officers cannot stop you. Unless you interfere it is illegal for them to even tell you not to. When they pull you over. They cannot search your car with a dog unless they have a search warrant. Unless you give them permission. Do not give them permission to search your car just because they intimidate you. Without a warrant places they can look at is what is in plain site. You can get a dash cam at Walmart for 21.00. Turn it around and record what they are doing. It also will record how you were driving and if you were stopped illegally. When they co.e to your window. Point the camera directly at the officer. You can turn the screen so he can see himself on it. I have 4 cameras in my car, even if they are behind me following me. I can record it. They said they pulled me over within 2 blocks. He had followed me two and a half miles. Waiting for the other five cars to catch up and get me in a dark area. Of they blue light you. Do not stop in an area where there are no people. Slow down and go to a well light public area near you.
Last but NOT LEAST. Record your phone calls. If you are talking to dispatch, calling the clerk. Doesn't matter. Without proof they will take the officers word over yours every time.
It you are charged with possession of anything. Demand that your attorney require them to physically produce it for you to see. Do not accept their word on what they have. Also, request bodycam footage in writing to the Cheif of Police Ric Terry immediately after charges are made. Make sure to get it notorized. They will do if for free upstairs at the Sheffield court house. Then ask her to make a copy to show the notory. Keep a copy of your request. Then demand your public defender request the footage when he is appointed. Do not wait until later. He represents you the same as if you were paying him. Just because he was appointed. He should take your calls and request. He should answer your questions. Explain anything you do not understand and provide you the best defense possible. He should not meet you before trial and tell you to take a plea. Call him as soon as you leave the day he is appointed. If he will not act as your attorney, report it to the judge. There are some good public defenders. Attorneys are all required to act as public defenders for appointed times. They will ignore you and serve.their paying customers if you do not push it. This is no time to be a coward.
If the officers tell you the cameras were not on or they were not wearing one. It is required. They are to be on at all times and the footage goes to the cloud. If the blue lights on the patrol car are on, so is the dash cam. It starts recording as soon as they hit those lights.
Just a little advice from some one who has been there and done that. Even in circuit Court. Have them physically produce anything you are charged with possession of.
I hope this information can help someone. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. I have.learned a lot in 10 years. I wish I had known then what I know now. Sometimes you learn the hard way.

Some.people think what SPD did is ok. He wasn't severely injured, he was resisting arrest. These people do not comprehend that he had done nothing to earn this treatment. Some.people have the privilege of not having to deal with the misconduct that some are faced with daily. They are so privileged, it is beyond them that others suffer harassment and abuse for no reason. It is easy to think like that. You have nothing in your life to compare it to. This sweet boy came to us after getting his head stuck in a homemade armadillo trap. He was understandably pretty scared when he came to us, but has settled in nicely and is a sweet boy! We call him Armadillo, but if you adopt him, you can call him whatever you like! If you'd like to meet Armadillo, come to the shelter at 3240 Roberson Road in Florence. Hudson

After the harassment and attempts to intimidate me by Chief Asst. DA Brent Woodall. A new plot twist has emerged. DA Hal Hughston was Ashlii Perry's public defender prior to taking office. This means any involvement from him and his office is a conflict of interest. Hal Hughston should not only have recused himself from the case. Anyone employed by him also should have been removed. There is no way you cannot be involved when your Chief Asst. is involved and the case is being discussed in the office where you are working. Now I know why Woodall claimed he consulted the former administration when making his decision. Funny, I can prove both the former DA and Chief Asst. DA where taking it to trial
This follows the fact that in the beginning. Ben Gardner was going to be the public defender for Major Rice. He had to be removed. I found out about that in time to stop it.
I filed and Hal Hughston had the opportunity to correct this. Hal chose not to, so I am filing with the appropriate agencies.

Filed for the recusal of Brent Woodall. All that is left is restitution. He has done nothing but harass me. Major Rice's attorney contacted me and tried to bribe me back in May of last year. He wanted me to agree to the exact sentence. I did not. Major received exactly what his lawyer ask me to agree to. Coincidence? These are screenshots I saved from that encounter. I reported it to Angela Hulsey and Bryce Graham. They did nothing. I can't say for certain or prove it. I think someone took that bribe. That is the.only explanation to how ir went from 16yrs. To a split sentence.

Also if you get charged 1st degree assault with weapon. If Brent Woodall is the prosecutor on your case. Tell the attorney you want the same deal as they received. Probation. One of the worst crimes you can be charged with. Part of it was dropped and then given probation. So if you have a felony, violent or none violent. Tell the attorney you want probation because that was.the decision on Jan. 30. If you do not receive probation that is discrimination. I will post the case numbers for your lawyer to quote. If you can file for discrimination, everyone should be treated the same.

I have always said , do not underestimate me. Call me Crazy all you want. It gives me an advantage . The DA violated My victim's rights. Almost every right I had has been violated for 2 years. They say that the victim's cannot appeal. After 5 Days of researching almost 24 hours a day. I found that it's not true. I have 2 years of 3 different DA's trying to bully me. Wait till I see me now.

Today I file with the Ethics board and State of Alabama bar association. I've also put in to speak with Senator tuberville I did get to speak to his assistant and it seems positive. Prosecutors should be held accountable just like anyone else.

Now, the most recent events. On January 10th Ashlii was supposed to show up for pre trial again. Ashlii, was a no show. Now, if you or I fail to show up for a court date. A bench warrant is issued for failure to appear. That is what I was informed was going to happen. All Bryce Graham could do was run around saying, I've only got one more week! Ashlii should've been arrested and then we would have court the way it was planned.
Instead on the 17th, Hal Hughston was sworn in as a new district attorney.. I get there for pre trial for major. I look around the courtroom and there sits Ashlii. Because they are not being prosecuted jointly. They're not allowed to be in the same courtroom together, being seen by the same judge. So after pretrial, Brent Woodall meets with me to discuss what was going on. He reasserts the fact that if you go to trial , it's 50/50 if they go to prison or not. Brent and I came to an agreement on acceptable plea deals... 2 days later I get an email saying Brent wants to talk to me. Will I please come up to the courthouse? I am now going to get to the part where, I'm quite sure he will take a bribe. He came in yelling that he changed the plea deal. Yelling that he found out all the things I have been doing, like poking holes in tires. I said I had done no such thing . Brent raised his voice at me and this is one of the most shocking parts. Brent told me he had spoken to the Old Administration and they had decided what they wanted to do. I thought we elected a new DA to think for themselves. Are they even capable of doing their jobs without training wheels? I had no say so, and he did not care what I thought. That he worked for Alabama, not me. I was not allowed a victim's Statement. He dropped the weapons charge. He did not inform the judge, that I was not in agreement with the plea deal. He had not given me the paperwork to fill out for my restitution. I just heard him ask the judge if he could have me turn it in within the next 30 days. I went up there to discuss it, I always have to get a Sherrifs deputy to es**rt me to the DA's office. I When to get my deputy To es**rt me. The deputy was told I wasn't allowed up there. They did not have time to see, me I would have to schedule it for next week. That's difficult because I have to turn in today and I have questions. Brent was forced to come down and speak with me. Something he was not happy about. Now, I will get back to the bribery. I refuse to be bribed by the attorney. No amount of money can compensate me. All I want is Justice. The funny thing that after he met with both defendants at the same time. Which again, is illegal. Brent gave Major the exact deal the lawyer was trying to bribe me to give him. I cannot say that Brent will not follow in Billy Underwood's footsteps. Because IN MY OPINION, If you will accept a bribe . I see no reason you would have a problem bribing someone. The Times Daily would not even print what plea deals where given. They knew that fact alone, tells you something is wrong. Ashlii was give 10 years probation. She will be living with that 1st degree assault for at least 20 years. No government benefits whatsoever. Jobs even more difficult. Ashlii will not miss Major. Ashlii started everything and it ruined his life. What a pity. Ashlii dumped Major as soon as he got arrested. He tried to prove something to her. That is how much she cared. I bet she has never put a dime on his account. That is how much she cared about him. I do not feel bad about it. Before you throw your life away for someone's false accusations and the fact they tell you they love you. Think, it didn't matter at all to her. Ashlii thought she would never be charge.

Hal Hughston III has taken office. I am curious why Hal would select Brent Woodall. Brent took over for disgraced attorney Billy Underwood. I do not know if he would bribe someone. I am almost, beyond a reasonable doubt that Brent would accept one. I reported an attorney Richard Perry for attempting to bribe a victim. Richard wanted me to agree to a lesser sentence. I reported him to 3 District Attorney's and a Detective. I was told it would be looked into. They did nothing. Then Hal took office, maybe things would improve. MOST CERTAINLY NOT. Bryce Graham had try to convict me for a felony drug charge. Tried 7 times to scare me into a plea. The last time Bryce was gracious enough to offer me a misdemeanor. Bryce was just trying to help a girl out, right? Bryce got the same answer. No, I want a trial, I can prove I am not guilty. Charges where dismissed. I told them from the beginning. If you have drugs I want to see them. I am the only defendent I know who had to sit in the hall after answering role call. They wouldn't sit in a room with me to discuss it. That is normal procedure. Bryce didn't even wast me in the courtroom. Did he think I didn't know it was him? I went through security just like everyone else. Either way it was dismissed. Then Angela Hulsey received two calls from the attorney general. Angela was informed filing a false police report stating I was laying on the floor. I was kicking and screaming and threatening su***de. 6 Sheffield police officers show up. Told me they where taking me to Riverbend. Fortunately the Detective I was speaking to informed them it wasn't true. 6 SPD, I wonder what condition I would have ended up in? This was caused by this small fact. When a small town police dept. refuses to charge someone. The victim can go to the Sherrifs dept and file a report and press charges if indeed a crime was committed. The attorney general is the one who sent me there for a second time. This protects victims that some police depts. refuse to protect.
Sheriff Williamson watch some videos and charged the person Sheffield refused to charge. A sheriff's det. Investigated and was going to send it straight to the grand jury. I was sent to the DA's office to get a report. Angela Hulsey and Bryce Graham had always been rumored to be working with Sheffield. Angel sent it back to Sheffield, she did not want charges filed. It took the attorney general, State Bureau of investigation And FBI to 4th worse the detective to take the papers down to Angela. That's what 3 miles from Sheffield police department to Tuscumbia courthouse. Angela walked out 3 months early on her job. This after 14 years. Angela did this to become a divorce attorney? Angela just so happened to do this one week before my pretrial. ?????
So Bryce was stuck representing a person he had tried to put in prison on false charges. After speaking with Ashlii, it was decided to go to trial. Problem was my 7th reconstructive surgery was scheduled for Dec. 1st, 2022. I would be needed to testify the following Monday. I wasn't able. So Bryce got a continuance, or so I was told. Well, after pre-trial Bryce ask me to meet with him and discuss my case. Bryce jnew nothing about the videos. All the treats and post I had saved. After seeing the video his questions where. Why, where you dating a black guy. The making off color comments about my s*x life. Ok, next post this is dragging out

Adoptions are very slow right now but every small one is a win for us and our babies!

Sometimes they are rambunctious in their kennel, please ask us to take them out! I promise you, they are so happy and non aggressive outside of that kennel that is their life in this moment.

We need volunteers! Our babies deserve to have walks daily! We have so many animals right now and so little staff that sometimes they don’t get walked like they need to because we are busy caring for them and cleaning. When a volunteer walks a dog, it allows us to thoroughly clean their kennel for a second and sometimes third time that day! They deserve a clean area to live in until they get their forever home!

This is a class on police interrogation technics. It is limited on who can go. I wanted to attend to post what they were teaching. They are charging 250.00 per ticket. So it prevents the average person from attending. Doesn't surprise me.

Please share this page with your friends. It is not just informational anymore. Although I will still do that. It is time to attempt to make changes, where changes are needed. Where law enforcement and judicial responsibilies are enforced. Not just in Sheffield. All of Alabama. If I can get to congress and ask them to enforce the protocals that are already in place. Increase the rights of victims and those abused by the system. It could make a big difference. At the moment everyone passes the buck, you can do nothing about abuse by law enforcement and the judicial system. Prosecutors can do anything they want. Violate anyone's rights. They do not care because they are untouchable. The only thing that can happen is if another prosecutor reports them. Prosecutors will not do this, because they all use false evidence and force people to take pleas with threats of more charges. This needs to be stopped. Please join me in this fight. I am one person at the moment. Let your voices be heard. Give me your stories. I will post them. I am working to start online petitions for everyone to sign. Someone posting video of an officer killing someone should not be what is needed to make change. It could have been prevented long before someone had to die. The offenders should not be protected by qualified immunity and the fact that they are law enforcement officers. They are still citizens just like the rest of us. Victims and offenders should be respected. They are innocent until proven guilty. Let us work together to at least try to make a difference. Thank you
