Come move with us all night on 4/22 at metrobar DC in celebration of our April issue, giving locals an eclectic, choose-your-own-adventure roadmap for what “move” means to them.
Explore this movement-based evening party inspired by a collab between our eic Monica Alford and visual artist // co-curator Maps Glover, kicking off with an all-night DJ set from Jerome Baker III and Quartermaine.
Maps will debut his latest video installation, a mesmerizing outdoor experience celebrating abstract and organic movement.
Zootainia skate team’s glow-in-the-dark skateboarding activation will include a screen printing workshop and glow-in-the-dark wearable graffiti art.
Artists Abstracts By Alexi , Oheylil and AP*ART will activate metrobar’s outdoor space by live painting a mural highlighting the D.C. community.
Roller skating queen Alex Appah of Chocolate City Skate and some of her friends from the thelinkupdc will skate around and perform a choreographed roller skating routine.
Plus outdoor bar activities will run all night, including co****le, flip cup and giant games.
