Solana faces an ongoing attack from an unknown hacker.
The attacker has orchestrated a mass private key exploit.
More than 8,000 wallets have already been drained, with more than $8 million in assets stolen in just a few hours.
Users are claiming that their wallet funds have been removed without their involvement. They say that their wallets "drained randomly."
“They lost thousands and most of their money, so they are quite depressed,” they said. “Move coins to a ledger and disconnect every trusted website.”
$SOL dropped by almost 6% since the hack happened.
Meanwhile, Ava Labs CEO stated that the number of wallets being drained is rising at around 20 per minute.
Several Solana RPC nodes are offline to slow down the ongoing exploit.
