I have redone some furniture in a similar manner. This just happens to have a cool story attached.

So the furnace job was two parts:

1. Mount the furnace (65lbs) to the ceiling joists.

2. Run type b venting from the furnace to the roof without violating code(one inch clearance around all pipe through combustible materials).

I ended up using several ratchet straps to slowly ratchet the furnace to the mount position. Took time but was easy.

The type be venting took two holes and some roof work. Needed a buddy for over watch while I was on the roof but it worked out alright. Not too hard but time consuming.

Had a master plumber run the gas line.

So, finished the garage furnace install. This (except gas line) was a relative easy install.

You can add a new outlet quickly and easily without tearing open a wall, if you already have an electrical outlet in the other side of the wall. No extra holes. No messy patching and repainting.
