Short video made with Fidra Gin, small batch costal gin made with homegrown and foraged ingredients, sea buckthorn, rose hip, juniper, lemon thyme, thyme.

A overview of Fidra Island from which the brand has taken its name and the inspiration for Robert Louis Stephenson’s Treasure Island. His father designed the lighthouse on Fidra Island and the Treasure Island map a striking resemblance to that of this wee island in the Firth of Forth.

A little brand creation for an East Lothian based liqueur company who forage for their ingredients and make unique tasting drinks. Starting to really get noticed in Scotland and around the UK and further afield. A brand to watch.

This wasn't an official client job but we just couldn't help making a film for their Amarosa rum liqueur which is amazing with ginger beer and a slice of lime over ice.

We aimed to portray the rich deep flavour of the drink with the sumptuous vintage look. Really happy with the result especially seeing as it was during lockdown and shot solo with rudimentary sliding devices like towels and plastic containers to get some moves, little lighting equipment as well as rolling ginger bottles and shooting follow shots simultaneously. A fun test for us under the circumstances.

Enjoy the short film and search out Buck & Birch and their range of drinks when you can, you won't be disappointed!

We are currently shooting footage about a Scottish surfboard maker as a short documentary film, following Jay and the Scottish surf scene on the East Coast in general as he crafts his boards by hand to order. It is an epic journey for us as film makers and will be the New Year until it is finished. What an amazing experience though from a surfing perspective to see the art of shaping and making but also a treat as a videographer to film such a fast and almost choreographed performance that is the shaping process.

Workshop, in water and out in the wild filming is certainly a great test and exciting experience for us.

Breaking it down into segments we will post some sections from scenes of the film to show our progress....and wet your appetites.

Enjoy 'the art of shaping' session 1

Working with Seilich has been a really inspiring story to work with. This is one of many videos we hope to make about the processes involved.

Dr Sally Goulstone, a renounced botanist has used all of her knowledge and expertise to create a brand that not only uses natural ingredients foraged from woods and meadows but also grows most of her plant and flowers herself. So not only are the meadows and crops facilitating the fragrances and functionality of the products but it also creates its own sustainable eco cycle working in harmony with nature and wildlife. This is one of very few truly sustainable brands.

The results are amazing, fresh, wild and unique and the story is a beautiful one to illustrate. Entering into the winter months we shot this video for the room mists during a harvest of Scots pine on location in East Lothian. We look forward to shooting more films as the meadows are planted and grow through the spring and summer months ready for harvest and production.

We are also hoping to post an 'About the maker' short film soon so that Sally can share the whole process with you from growing from seed, to harvesting and producing these beautiful products.

Introducing 'Irish Dance Village' and a short intro video we created about the brand narrated by founder, Jennifer Roxburgh and filmed on location at Portobello, Edinburgh.

As an established and experienced dancer and teacher, Jennifer has created a community focusing on dance, fitness and wellbeing.

Our task was to illustrate these attributes and reflect the mindfulness that is at the heart of the course. A great project to be involved in and a great story to tell.
