“…When the ground shifted under their feet and they felt like they would fall off the edge of a cliff, they finally made it outside. Everything was still. Not a sound could be heard anywhere. A giant crack had split the side of the building and soon it collapsed entirely. No one ever found what happened to the people trapped inside that night.

A few days later, the sun rose again. The people returned to the island and gathered up the pieces of the fallen temple. Over the next few weeks they rebuilt it; using the same stones as the original structure and doing so very well. After everything was complete, the people held a celebration which lasted for many days. Their new temple looked much better than it did before; but that wasn't the end of the changes. They discovered a hidden chamber underneath the temple. Inside was a statue carved out of stone; it was beautiful and graceful.

They brought the relic out to show the others. It was then that the strange events started happening around the island…”

”It's been so long” he thought. “I've forgotten what it feels like to be warm and safe…” they wanted nothing more than to sleep forever on a soft bed of hay, but instead they had woken up again for another day full of work as usual at the castle. The servants were all whispering behind their hands when they saw them enter through the front door. Some even looked away from their face while others averted their eyes completely before speaking quietly among themselves or rushing off somewhere else. their father was sitting in an armchair near the fireplace reading one of those books by the fire. A book that always sat there unread until someone needed something explained, which meant only one thing: today would probably involve magic. It seemed likely that this time around, the explanation might include a lecture on how wizards are evil and must not ever exist because people can't tell them apart from demons if they're wearing masks or robes. Or maybe they would get lectured on why everyone who has ever died should have lived forever just like him since he is obviously perfect after all, except for having to wear these stupid clothes and go out into public looking normal every now and then. No matter what happened, they knew better than anyone else did that the wizarding world was still going strong without any help whatsoever. So no need to worry over it too much. "Father?" they asked, approaching the chair…”

"Ah yes," said Lord Rahl, putting down his book. As usual, the old man wore his formal black robe and white gloves.. His expression suggested that he wasn't pleased by anything happening within sight of where he sat, especially not involving him. In fact, he didn't look happy about being here at all. “Syana loved the rain. She would dance in the rain while gazing upon the evening sky as she made flower leis. But little did she know that by doing so, she had earned the ire of the local flower spirits. They were angered by her actions and sought to punish her.

A few days later, Syana went out into the mountains to forage for flowers. There she found an old altar made of stones that was used by the local tribes to appease the flower spirits. Syana sat in front of the altar and laid down the flowers as an offering before lighting incense to pray to the spirits for forgiveness. However, they did not hear her prayers and had their revenge by transforming her into a daisyclaw….”

“You were passing through a misty forest, a magical land of trees, able to bend to your will. The trees are your friends, whispering secrets into your ear, laughing at your jokes. The air is fresh and moist, and the sun is warm. You hear the birds sing, the leaves rustle, and the wind whispers in the trees.
But you are not alone. There are other entities nearby, beings that do not belong. There is a creature that haunts your dreams, a shadow in the darkness.
It is shrouded in darkness, but its face is illuminated, two red eyes burning with hatred. Its nose is long and thin, and its mouth is filled with sharp teeth. You are in fear of this Shadow, afraid of what it wants from you.”
