When we started this lifestyle, we were lost. We were hoping to heal, desperate to evolve into better versions of ourselves, and looking for new/fresh ideas we could incorporate into our future. We were praying for a total reset and boy did this lifestyle provide in every way!

There will be some changes coming to this page in the near future. A total rebrand, if you will. We’ll still post our normal travel updates, but in an attempt to simplify our social media pages, Rick’s new adventure will also be joining this space. It’s mobile and still related to RVing, so we feel it’ll fit perfectly.

We’ve been quiet, but just know we’re working hard behind the scenes trying to breathe life into new adventures. We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

We’ve been a bit behind on our posts lately. I keep saying we’re going to be better about it, but then we start slacking again. 😬 We’ve been living a lot of life, and putting some exciting things into motion for the future.

We’re parked at a cute little honey bee/Christmas tree farm for the night. The girls got to eat honey ice cream, and learned that ALL worker honey bees are females and that they kick the drones (males) out once it starts getting cold so they can conserve their energy for Winter. I’ve said it a million times and I’ll keep saying it- we love Harvest Hosts!

We passed a ton of RVs that were heading South. We seemed to be one of only a handful heading North. 😂 We’ll be back in the mitten state tomorrow just in time for the temps to drop!

The first calm morning after 5 weeks of (good) chaos just hits different. ☕️🥰

We’ve spent the last 5 weeks in beautiful Colorado with a ton of other full time families for Halloween. Our time was filled with 2 national parks, a rail bike adventure, hikes, golden Aspens, snow-capped mountains, hot springs, sand boarding, tie dye, a chopped competition where Rick and the girls won the “Best Creative” award, scavenger hunts, coffee talks, a potato bar dinner, karaoke nights, bonfires, a chili cook-off, adult happy hours, candy bar bingo, an epic Halloween dance, crafts, an Amazon Race, human piñatas, a carnival, a soup dinner, a rally cash store, trick or treating, daily bounce house and Gaga ball fun, Nertz, Sweep, and playing SO hard in-between the scheduled activities.

Most of my pictures have other small humans in them and I don’t post pictures of other people’s children on our socials, so here’s a small photo dump from our time spent.

We loved our time spent with other road families, but I also really do love calm, quiet, slow mornings as a family. Here’s to new adventures and getting back to our normal routines.

Last time we had a break down, we were surrounded by several RV techs and not a single one was able to assist us. If we have to fix our own stuff, we may as well learn from the best.

Our favorite part of today’s adventures? Cliff dwellings and pit houses! My brain will never comprehend how humans actually lived in these. Pictures don’t do the drop off the side of the cliff justice. 🤯

Colorado, you have won our hearts!

Today’s adventure started at Four Corners Monument and ended at Mesa Verde National Park. It has been a long day, but 100% worth the drive. The beauty we saw today was unreal!

Elevation issues aside, Colorado has been and continues to be incredible!

Today’s adventure was a 3 mile hike with some full timer friends. The husbands and kids stayed home while the mom’s gasped for air as we climbed higher and higher in elevation. 😅

This hike had an elevation gain of 889ft. The town we’re staying in has an elevation of 8,200. At the peak of this hike, we were at an elevation of 9,089 feet. Coming straight from Kansas, let’s just say our lungs have not been happy.

Look at that view, though! I’m so thankful for an invite that allowed me to admire more of Colorado’s beauty. 😍
