Great news. After finding out why I couldn’t see any of Mr. Crane’s emails, I’ve been talking to him, and asking questions. He has voiced an interest in doing something on the history of FGA. I think this would be great.
Here is what I’ve come up with so far.
Before GMT
GMT when you were there
Founding FGA, why, where, how
Plans to begin with
Advertising in Command mag
Amazing Artwork!
First year of publishing 1991?
Backlash from the first games
Richard Berg (what was up with him? You’ve noticed I asked how a second-grade mimeograph newsletter could get “of the year”)
Middle plans 1992?
Reviews from other games magazines (I’ve bought a lot of old game magazines, looking for reviews. Even a Canadian one!)
Middle games and how they went
Last plans 1993?
Last games and reviews
War with the competition and distributors
Calling it quits
What we didn’t get (like Operation Crusader with normal counters! War in Europe)
All the companies that were part of FGA (all the other letters on a box side)
Life since then
What other questions would you have?
You all must be courteous!
