NEW EPISODE 🎙️

It was a busy month but I’m back with a brand new episode!

When 3 members of the Row family are killed in a house fire, police are quick to call it arson. Within days, they are able to limit their scope to two suspects - each with completely different narratives.
Now investigators have to play this game of 'he said, she said' to figure out which one of their suspects is a killer.

NEW PATREON EPISODE

Despite Karen Klaas’ turbulent childhood, she was always determined to make something of herself and create a beautiful family. But in 1976, Karen’s life was cut short when the mother of two was found strangled in her own home.

While police looked into numerous leads and her loved ones even hired a private investigator, nobody could seem to crack the case. In the end, it was a controversial scientific technique that would identify Karen’s killer and bring her family the answers they had waited 4 decades for.

In 1995, Shauna Card was stabbed 76 times by her 16 year old classmate, Jimmy Bedoya.
Shauna was described as a peacemaker who had no problems with anybody. In fact, she barely even knew Bedoya.

While denying it for 23 years, Jimmy Bedoya finally confessed at his re-sentencing hearing in 2018.
In 2020, his sentence was affirmed and he will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

I covered Michelle’s case back in 2020.
The 18 year old was stabbed to death in 1979 and her killer, Jerry Lee Burns, was finally caught in 2018.
While he maintains his innocence, Burns blood was found on her body - likely the result of cutting himself while stabbing her.
Burns appeal was based on the fact that investigators had obtained his DNA through a discarded drinking straw, which he says violated his constitutional rights.

Her parents unfortunately never got to see her killer brought to justice, but I’m confident they have the right man.
I’m sorry her remaining family had to go through this all over again, but happy to see that he will be in prison for the rest of his life.

The court rejected Burns' claim police violated his rights by collecting DNA from a drinking straw he left behind at a restaurant to solve 1979 murder
