As I was culling through my photos from this past summer I realized I never posted these shots from . Sure that probably had to do with my leaving Daytona with a broken hand but whatever. What better way to celebrate fall than remembering some of the fun that spring Daytona has to offer!?

A couple pieces of vintage American Iron made an appearance at the Lorem Ipsum Vintage Motorcycle Picnic as well.
The blue drew me in immediately, and sure the FXR was from my group but I’ll never miss a chance to shoot one.

I had the pleasure of going to the Loren Ipsum Vintage Motorcycle Picnic for the first time this summer, and am finally getting the shots edited. There were a ton of really neat bikes that showed up, this Nimbus with the sidecar immediately caught my eye not only because I love sidecar bikes but you don’t see many of these out and about. Actually, this may be the first one I’ve seen in person and it immediately sent me down a rabbit hole of internet research.
The Beamer, while not as rare, was also an eye catcher and a great example of a vintage bike being ridden in the modern era.
Overall, this was a very fun event and I’m glad I was finally able to attend.

It’s not finished, buts it’s good enough for now. The rebuild on this thing is making me fall back in love with riding again, and the roads out here aren’t hurting either.

Spotted this ironhead outside a bar this past weekend & couldn’t help but get a photo.
I love buildings that look abandoned and crusty, but I love a nice Ironhead more. I could tell when I saw the rider jump the curb and throttle through the washed out dirt lot to get to his preferred parking spot that it was not the first time this bike had seen some sketchy off road riding.

Took the opportunity to get out and do some real Sturgis Tourist stuff tonight. Ride to Rockerville, Keystone, Rushmore, Hill City, & Sheridan Lake Road. Definitely a good night of riding!

If there is ONE show I will not miss while I’m in Sturgis it’s the by . All of the biker bravado and nonsense is left at the door in exchange for retro vibes, amazing choppers, great conversations, and everything the industry should be. I frequently describe this show as “living in a David Mann painting” and I know it sounds like an exaggeration but it’s true.

Got out and put some miles down for the first time since Daytona & my hand surgery. Building confidence back up is fun especially on this . This just feels like a slightly overgrown dirt bike and is crazy fun to throw or even just putt on. If you’ve not ridden one, and grew up on dirt bikes like I did, you should try it and see if you immediately want to find a trail or hill.

I spotted this beautiful FL our side of when I was down there for . Not much will stop me in my tracks quite as quickly as a clean shovel that someone’s actually riding.

Finally! A 2-1 for the dyna that looks good, sounds better, has enough ground clearance to carve a corner, but won’t burn my LeatherPros. Yeah, I’m excited.

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. This was one of those times. I had the worst start I’ve ever had, which is where you see it get squirly in the video.
