Kadha wishes everyone Happy Holidays!!

Stories For Free is the Charity segment of Kadha ( www.kadha.com). Every holiday season we partner with organizations worldwide to provide books and other educational incentives to kids. Over the years we worked with schools in Africa and India. This year we went local and did something fun and unique. We worked with Emerson Elementary School in Snohomish, WA, specifically their 3rd and 4th graders and asked them to write an essay on “Why Being a Kind Friend is Important”. 7 kids whose essays were selected by teachers in the school won bikes with which they can continue exploring and learning. Soul Painting

Her body is a canvas
Upon which
Her mind paints its whims
Brilliant hues
amidst
Blackened strokes
The picture
a window
into her soul

I have lived my life in the extremes: in darkness and light, hope and despair, elation and depression. This painting reflects that bipolarity. Darkness and light exist in a continuum. Amid engulfing darkness and despair there are glimmers of light and hope. Even as we burn bright, the flames consume and reduce us to ashes. Honored and Speechless. This was my debut venture as a Film Director and Producer through my Storytelling venture ( Kadha ) . Exciting News!! Namaste Herb Farm ( KADHA Original Docufilm) has been officially selected into the Kolkata Shorts International Film Festival 2021. The docufilm has ~50,000 views now on the Kadha YouTube Channel (https://lnkd.in/g2EFzse ).

This is the second nomination for the docufilm. It was selected and made it through several rounds to be a Finalist at the Lift-Off Network Film Festival earlier this year. Wish us luck!! 🙏🙂

"I literally didn't leave my office, for lunch or for anything because I couldn't believe we would actually get those masks...and when they came I literally put them away in a safe place under lock and key... My 10 year old daughter hugged me and said, why cant you work from home?....I miss the hugs as soon as I come back home but my kids know...."

KADHA is honored to chat with Dr. Asha Legori Varghese MD (DABP, FAAP), about her journey as a Pediatrician and Entrepreneur through the pandemic (COVID19) . Asha is a dear friend and one of the most amazing and committed mom, wife and doctor that I have ever met. She has had a fascinating journey through multiple continents to date. It's incredible how she worked with her professional partners through the pandemic to tackle head on, the many challenges of running their own clinic, through creative solutions and a positive attitude. Her clinic kept its doors open and continued seeing patients in person during the entire pandemic. Asha also manages to find time amidst many other commitments for a creative pursuit and makes gorgeous beaded jewelry. Exciting news! Our first docufilm "Namaste Herb Farm" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIJlMAbIv0M) was selected for screening by Lift-Off Film Festival .

The 1st round is held online via Vimeo. 2nd is internal. The final round is a live screening held at both Pinewood Studios in the UK & Raleigh Studios in Hollywood. More details to be posted soon. This is the official laurel provided by the film festival for being selected.
