Episode 13: Sacrifice on a whole new lense!

Our focus when the subject of sacrifice comes to the table is primarily on the act of suffering losses rather than on its rewarding aspect. While it's true that sacrifice may entail surrendering present comforts, we must remember that this is not the entire picture. Sacrifice extends beyond mere suffering; it encompasses rewards as well. It is obvious that in the act of sacrifice, we are called to suffer the present comforts, but the totality of the sacrificial act does not just end there. That is to say, suffering losses may be part of the sacrificial act, but not the whole. This half-baked understanding of sacrifice ultimately destroys the "bridge" - to us experiencing such ennobling act with its rewards. Because the point of sacrifice is not its "suffering" aspect but its "rewarding" side.

The idea of "doing good nonetheless" stems from the fact that chaos and evil will not halt by any certain extent by you adapting chaos and evil itself, if anything you just had become the perpetuator of replicating the very thing that you hate. There is actually nothing to gain from it. If you want a different outcome then different outcome requires different formula. If it was chaos and evil that has made you the way that you are now, why not try for a moment what would goodness and order could do to you and to everyone else surrounding you?

Discovering your ability to work hard can be surprising.

Many times, we don't realize our own capabilities.

Finding out that you can put in effort and be diligent might shock you. It challenges what you thought about yourself and opens up opportunities to grow.

It's like realizing you set limits for yourself that weren't necessary. God provides you with enough strength to overcome challenges.

Understanding this can change how you see things and help you achieve things you once thought were too hard.

So, when you doubt your ability to work hard, remember: you have the potential to do great things. Just put in some effort and keep going!
