NSO had luck recruiting major U.S. political figures to help secure contracts.
NSO’s parent, OSY, headquartered in Luxembourg, paid Obama’s homeland security secretary, Jeh Johnson, to review the company’s new Human Rights Policy. Johnson, a partner at the elite law firm Paul, Weiss, gave his stamp of approval, saying it appeared to be “substantially aligned” with United Nations principles. An official U.N. expert was less celebratory, saying it did not address the “legacy of harm perpetuated as a result of NSO Group’s failure to ensure that its technology is used responsibly.” Johnson declined to comment.

Muslim Brotherhood Tied Groups Everywhere in EU, Egypt-EU Crack Down

By Mohamed Maher – 5 minutes read

Amnesty International has accused the Egyptian Government of violation of Human Rights standards, on allegations from one side – Muslim Brotherhood affiliated groups – when Egypt’s public prosecution ordered to imprison Juhayna Food Industries company chairman Safwan Thabet on charges of “funding a terrorist group”.

Safwan Thabet comes from a family of strong Muslim Brotherhood members, he is a direct maternal grandson of the 6th Supreme Guide of the terrorist group, Maamoun El Houdaiby. His great grandfather was the second Supreme Guide of the terrorist group, Hassan El Houdaiby. let alone the rest of the family and the common financial interests with the Muslim Brother terrorist group.

A Judiciary committee formed by the government had previously confiscated Thabet’s funds in August 2015 due to his links to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Egypt and the EU are seemingly exchanging intelligence and data on the Islamist groups and individuals, as well as synchronizing measures to crackdown on these groups and organizations. However when the criticism wave hits high, it hits only Egypt, as a way of political means for pressure, given that a movement like Amnesty International and a group like Human Rights Watch are heavily controlled by the funders and there affiliations.

Meanwhile, in EU, the MB is spreading like cancer after it was ousted by the Egyptians in 2013 July in a revolution when the military decided to listen to millions in the streets and prevent a massacre and a civil war from happening. Since then, the MB had no place in Egypt and the Middle East, so they started to change their strategy to spread in countries and areas have influence on the Middle Eastern governments. EU is the largest partner for Egypt in investments and joint ventures, so obviously the EU was the target.

The EU governments started to see intelligence/ security reports on the spread of the MB and their suspicious activities in the European societies, so, finally, they decided to act, better late than never.

German officials have accused Islamic Relief Worldwide of “significant” connections to the underground Muslim Brotherhood, triggering concerns among politicians over the diversion of official funds to Islamists.

The announcement of a German review into official funding of Brotherhood-related groups comes amid growing concern over the spreading influence of the group in the country. The most recent published intelligence assessment said that there were an estimated 1,040 Brotherhood activists active in the country. It further said the group exerted active control over 50 mosques or Islamic centres.

Following concerns about the group’s underground influence at centres in Bonn, Colletta Manemann, Germany’s Integration Commissioner, warned that mosque-goers were targeted by the group. “To our knowledge, the Brotherhood is more in the focus of the security agencies than ever before,” she said. “We welcome that.”

The German government banned this Muslim organization that it accused of supporting “terrorism globally with its donations.”

Police raided buildings associated with Ansaar International in 10 German states, the German Interior Ministry said in a statement. The ministry alleged the money the organization collected ostensibly went into welfare projects as a ruse to help finance groups such as the Syrian al-Qaida affiliate known as the Nusra Front, the Palestinian group Hamas and al-Shabab in Somalia.

More than 1,000 police officers raided buildings and office spaces across Germany and confiscated about 150,000 euros ($180,000).

Following the same path, Austria has adopted new penalties against the promotion of extremist groups, including those with links to “religiously-motivated crimes“, that will ban the symbols of a range of terrorist groups.

The new federal law prohibits the use of symbols representing ISIS, Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Grey Wolves, the Kurdish Workers’ Party, Hezbollah’s military wing, the Croatian fascist movement Ustasha and all other entities that are listed by the EU as terrorist groups.

Austria has nine million citizens and one of the highest per capita rates of ISIS sympathisers with an estimated 150 people known to have returned there after fighting for the terrorist organisation in Syria or Iraq.

It also has a long-established Muslim Brotherhood presence. After a surveillance operation that clocked up 21,000 hours, security agents carried out a series of raids under the direction of the Graz Public Prosecutor’s Office last year.

Investigators said they were “carrying out investigations against more than 70 suspects and against several associations which are suspected of belonging to and supporting the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas organisations”.

Egypt and the EU are seemingly exchanging intelligence and data on the Islamist groups and individuals, as well as synchronizing measures to crackdown on these groups and organizations. However when the criticism wave hits high, it hits only Egypt, as a way of political means for pressure, given tha...
