Pageants - Politics!

Miss World Africa makes history as one of the youngest people in Parliament. She’s one of the 6 members who were specially elected by Members of the parliament.

Botswana has a 65 member parliament, 57 Members are elected by the Constituents. 6 Members are Specially elected by Members of Parliament and 2 are Ex-officios being the President and The Speaker.

I love seeing young people in politics and Lesego as an enlightened lawyer and change maker is setting the pace since her time as Miss Botswana 🇧🇼. A woman who made Botswana proud on the international stage and is now rewarded for her hard work to her country and community.
