Having watched these episodes already I can vouch for the fact that each guest allowed themselves to be truly vulnerable in the discussions, which I really appreciated. Testament, no doubt, to the friendships and support Frost has cultivated over the years. ⚠️ Be warned ⚠️ these chats are NOT easy listening... they feature REAL TALK. Which is why they're important. Those of you that know me well know that this is the ONLY kind of talk i'm interested in.

So there will be no fluffy clouds, no unicorns and no annoying cliches... because mental health struggles are NOT about that crap. Instead, expect content that will make you think and - hopefully - reconsider any currently held opinions.

This is an area of incredible passion for me... coming from a family where everyone was medicated but NOT helped, I know all too well the devastation untreated mental ill health can cause. So let's stop with the bu****it cliches and let's stop with the virtue signalling, because that doesn't help anyone. Instead let's genuinely connect over this subject matter 🙏💗

World Mental Health Day is on Tuesday 10th October. Talking about and advocating for genuine mental health struggles is something very close to my heart, as many of you know. I have various bits and pieces planned for the day and will be joined by a very special guest from the scene who is a known mental health advocate (no prizes for guessing who 😝). I would love to make the day a big event, if there are others that would like to get involved? If mental health is something close to your heart too, and you have ideas for content that would work well on this day, drop me a DM. My hope is to have some real talk and shine a light on genuine struggles while offering some ideas and solutions 💗 One thing I feel very strongly about is NOT spouting bu****it rhetoric that does nothing to actually help anyone. This beautiful park was a short walk from her apartment in Spain... together we'd go and watch the peacocks, squirrels and terrapins do their thing and feed the ducks and geese 😊 These are some of my most treasured memories 💜

Already missing the daily cafe con leche and tostadas! First proper holiday since January 2020... definitely needed! Although it was only 3 days, we crammed in A LOT! (and when I say we crammed a lot in, I mean we ate and drank loads and spent the rest of the time walking and sunbathing on the beach 😎👊)

We were also celebrating our 25yr friendaversary! There's not many people that would wanna use their precious holiday time to visit the sleepy town in Spain my mum lived (which is why I go there), but when your friends ARE your family, they wanna go where your heart needs to be 🥰 BIG UPS NASHRI! I'm so grateful our friendship has endured 25yrs 🙏 all those crazy nights at university in Brighton.... then living in London... and our many holidays and adventures across the glove 😁

As per my post on Monday, I now CHOOSE TO CELEBRATE my wins 🥳🏆🙌 Deciding to do a Masters in a subject I've never studied at all, let alone at undergraduate level, was a bit of a risk... BUT it seems its paid off 😃 I just got my results through from my last assignment, and I GOT A FIRST! 🤩 So that's two assignments completed and I've got a first for both, so yeah, I'm patting myself on the back and feeling a sense of pride for all my hard work. I did that. Just me. No help or support. And I'm fu***ng proud of myself 😊

It makes me slightly sad to realise that I probably should have gone down this career route 20+ years ago... I've always been analytical, I've always enjoyed observing human behaviour and I've always thoroughly enjoyed employing critical thinking... so why the f**k did I take the media path which literally uses none of those skills?!?🤦‍♀️🤣

Jokes aside, I'm so glad I listened to my intuition last year and took the plunge becasue it's one of the best things I've ever done 😊🙏



NB. A thought to ponder... did my post on Monday *manifest* this good grade? 😏 Maybe! 🤷‍♀️ The fact is, I got myself into a headspace of celebrating wins after reflecting on why I entered Yogi into the dog show, let alone why I was excited he won a category... so you could say my vibes were aligned with celebrating... or you could say I quantum shifted into a reality where I win everything... in which case, I'm off to buy a lottery ticket....! 🥳🙌🤣

A commitment I have made to myself in recent times is to congratulate myself for things I've done well and practice self care and compassion towards myself when I've not done so well. Both of these are equally challenging, but in very different ways. It's really important that we do this for ourselves, particularly those of us that don't have a partner or family, both of which can provide ongoing support and positive reinforcement (often taken for granted as it's just a normal thing for most).

If we don't do it for ourselves, then who will?! And if we ignore this then how can we expect to have a positive relationship with ourselves?

Even if you're fortunate enough to share your day-to-day life with other people, its a risky path to allow your self worth to be created/solely reinforced by anyone other than yourself. Otherwise, how we feel about ourselves will forever be at the mercy of others...(and let's be honest, us humans are consistently inconsistent! 😆)

We live in a world that loves to hate, criticise and encourage negative self reflection... and this can really snowball in the minds of those who are most vulnerable (such as those of us that live with CPTSD)... UNLESS we choose not to let it. Like everything in life, it's a choice. That doesn't mean its easy, quite the contrary. But with self reflection and conscious decision-making, we can choose to be kinder to ourselves... and who knows how these ripple effects will impact or inspire others? That thought alone really inspires me 🤩

A question for streamers... how do you determine who's a good/decent person on twitch? How do you define who is trustworthy, when all we can see is an online name and rows of text/emotes? Particularly when it comes to giving someone a sword, which essentially means they're representing you/ your brand?

Do you equate monetary support? The more money they spend in your channel then the (seemingly) nicer they are as a person and therefore the more you value them?

Is it the frequency and consistency of time spent? So the more they're in your channel the more supportive they (seemingly) are?

The fact is, some people have a good disposable income and they don't have to worry about how they spend it. Likewise, some people don't have jobs/families filling their days, so they can spend all day/night online. Are these people intrinsically 'good supporters' by default?

I'm studying a masters in psychology and I did my first assignment on our beloved platform, twitch. I've now read most, if not all, of the scientific and academic data on twitch (which was kinda weird, having been a part of it for 2.5yrs from the 'inside'!). I'm interested in human behaviour full stop, but my interest is less about the audience in this context and more about the behaviour and attitude of us streamers.

Here's a hypothetical for you.... what if someone was doing something that is legally wrong (i'm not talking substances or anything like that, which is a personal choice, i'm talking basic ethics/morality, like stealing)... if that person was gifting a load of subs in your channel and supporting you monetarily BUT they'd stolen from someone else, for example, how would that sit with you? Would you turn a blind eye?

You can take my questions as rhetorical or you can choose to answer. If you're 'triggered' in any way by thinking about this subject, maybe sit with it and try to find out why 🤷‍♀️ Or not! Your choice! 😘👊

Seeing peeps use 'Happy 164 Day' in their stream title yesterday made me feel a sense of accomplishment... I made that up last year and you lot embraced it 😊🙏💗

Today, however, is 174 day... created by our crew in 2021 at the height of the pandemic, when we were all feeling disconnected and fearful. It brought lovers of d&b together from all over the globe 💗 I'm so proud of what we achieved with those events for the last two years and I'm honoured that so many of you felt the vibe and collectively helped create something special, that we will never forget!

What a weekend! As if it wasn't enough to be in London for Andy C at the 02 on Friday, on Saturday Lewis (aka BassFanatikooooo!) and I attended the awesome Moovin night in Manchester. It was the perfect high-vibing lineup to get me back in the party mood 🥳 Krafty Kuts going B2B with the Freestylers and Plumps (aka King of the Beats 🔥) was frickin epic, as you can imagine! 🤩 and the venue and sound system is one I definitely plan to experience again! And after sampling the Moovin event i'm DEFO keen for the Moovin Festival, so roll on the summer....! 😃👏💖

(Oh and yes, that's Bez from the Happy Mondays! Bumped into him on the stairwell! What a dude! 👊)
