Happy Holidays! Don’t forget to take precautions against the virus and stay safe!

05/12/2020

With the days getting darker and colder, it can be hard to keep a positive attitude. Some activities to get in the holiday spirit while staying safe:

• Learn how to cook a new food!
• Decorate your house!
• Talk to friends over Facetime or Zoom!
• Make cookies or gingerbread houses!
• Go for a drive to look at other houses’ decorations!
• Shop online for presents for your friends and family!
• Walk around your neighborhood (with a mask on) to enjoy the sunny weather!
• Watch your favorite holiday movies!

As we get closer to the holiday season, it is important to remember that the COVID-19 virus is most dangerous in large groups of people. Be mindful of this when planning holiday celebrations. Maybe skip the gatherings of large groups this year, and instead choose to stay at home.

Starting Friday, October 30th, Pueblo’s city government is installing a curfew in order to limit exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

Make sure you stay home between 10:00pm and 5:00pm every night until November 13th. This applies to EVERYONE unless you are an essential worker.

Fall is here, and the weather is beautiful! However, it is still important to stay safe, no matter how bored you may get. Here are some examples of safe activities:

• spend some time outdoors! (go hiking or running)
• get in the Halloween spirit! (decorate your house, carve pumpkins, watch movies at home, and of course continue to wear a mask in public places)
• play video games! (Among Us is a great new game that you can play with friends virtually)
• try a new hobby or learn a new skill! (bake some delicious food)

Stay safe everyone :)

Other than wearing masks, there are important steps you can take to stay safe! Pictured here is a safe student’s backpack, equipped with school supplies, a mask, and hand sanitizer. Carrying hand sanitizer with you at all times (and using it frequently!) is a great way to prevent the spread of disease.

In addition to this, remember to practice social distancing: stay six feet apart or more from other people, avoid large groups or crowds, and stay at home if you feel sick!

Welcome to the new student-run Pueblo School District 60 page! Our aim is to provide the community with reliable information about how to stay safe.

One crucial part of staying safe amid a global pandemic is wearing a mask in every public place. District 60 will be providing each student with one mask and one water bottle, and masks must be worn at all times inside any school building. We encourage students and teachers to always wear a clean mask, whether this means washing your mask every day, or having multiple masks to wear. Some local businesses that sell masks include Seabels, Le Nails, SoCo Vinyl & Accessories, Ruth Productions, Brue's Alehouse, and many others!
