Hubby threw down on our mini grill today, GUYS it is the absolute best little apartment friendly grill we have EVER had! (an ancient Tjmaxx or Homegoods find, sorry lovelies). Chef Terrell hooked the family up with DELICIOUS plant based Beyond Burgers + Sausages with my fav Daiya American Style Cheese!!!!!! 🤤🤤🤤⁣

Today we COLORED and what was meant to calm and distract Tre, ended up doing just the same for me.⁣

There has been A LOT of angst being cooped up in the apartment, and the uncertainty of what will come next keeps nagging at my mind.⁣

An hour and half and 2 going 3 pages later, we are all feeling better.⁣

Last year turning 28, I reflected on how proud I was of myself and how much I had overcome just to reach 28...this year my pride has given way to something radiant….⁣

Today I am 29! Another year around the sun, and I am EMPOWERED. HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE with myself, my 28th year turned out to be a year where I truly poured love into myself from myself.⁣
⁣
I took REAL, RAW, and UGLY steps towards loving and EMBRACING EVERYTHING that makes me me. Unapologetically. ⁣
⁣
There have been SO many moments I catch myself REMINDING myself I am a QUEEN👑, I am STRONG 💪🏾, it’s OKAY to FEEL what the f**k I’m feeling, something I rarely give myself the opportunity to do and ALL OF IT has made living and breathing in my own skin less suffocating.⁣
⁣
The creativity that flows through me, a rhythm that can’t be captured, a current of electricity that thrums across my skin for what is to come assure me that I’m going in the right direction...⁣

As I am writing this caption, the essence of this post surrounds me, I feel as bare and vulnerable as I do in this shoot but I also feel BRAVE, EMPOWERED, CONNECTED, and LOVED by ME...and although this is a birthday post for me by me haha! 😊 I can only hope you got what you needed⁣...
