1.5 oz Black Forest cherry brandy5 oz sweet vermouth
1 oz lemon juice
spicy cherry bitters
pearl cherries

Stir and strain into glass. Top with pearl cherries.

Lots of firsts in episode 25 of the Booze Cruise podcast.
1. First episode we've released on the anniversary of the release date of the movie we're reviewing. Happy 6th to the 5th Mission Impossible, Rogue Nation!
2. First time we've ever done a double feature. However, it wasn't two Tom Cruise movies. We watched Casablanca beforehand. Why? You'll have to listen to find out.
3. And lastly, it's our longest episode to date. Mostly because I'm nerding out about my favorite Mission Impossible movie ever. And Cameron Ross graciously came along for the journey.

1 oz gin
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz lemon juice
3 oz champagne
- Mix all ingredients (except champagne) in a shaker. Pour into a coupe glass (as can be seen in Casablanca) and pour champagne over top.

We're throwing it all the way back to 1981 with Tom Cruise's second movie of all time, TAPS. The Booze Cruise Podcast went on location to Erinn McKee Hannigan's new bar, The Snug to record this episode. So naturally we had too much fun making the cocktail! Growing up in a military family, Erinn has some great insight into this movie.

TAPS OLD-FASHIONED (aka THE SNUG)
1 1/2 oz Jameson Whiskey
1 sugar cube
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
2 oz ginger ale
slice of orange
maraschino cherry
- Place sugar cube in glass and saturate with bitters. Add a dash of plain water. Muddle until dissolved. Fill glass with ice. Add whiskey and ginger ale. Stir. Garnish with orange and cherry.
