The kids are having a business fair this weekend. Training them up in entrepreneurship. Come support!

Business FAIR UPDATE: for 313 Youth Group and Fire Culture

$15 per booth - one student per booth preferred (unless it is siblings)

All items must be hand made or if you do have a store product find a way to make it your own.

Applications must be sent to Mrs Noelia by October 22nd.

Only one of the same type of business. So it is important applications are submitted so we do not have multiple students selling cookies.

Students must create and launch their own business, parents please refrain from helping. Our community and you will be so proud of what our youth is able to do on their own! If help is necessary for safety reasons that is understandable but please communicate that ahead of time with the Tucks so they know what to expect the day of.

Table and one chair provided.
You can bring your own table cloth.
Parents can bring own tent if desired. Must set up/tear down on your own, assistance will not be available for that.

All children are responsible for advertising and marketing for their own businesses.

We will have another meeting the week before to discuss with children what we expect of them as far as handling the actual booth is concerned.

Electricity is limited . We will need to run extension cords. So if that is needed from any student, please get with Mrs Noelia Tuck

From "A Redeemed Wife"

Some of the signs of judgment in the book of Isaiah from the One and Only Holy God were three things:

- Weak men
- Women leading
- Children ruling over their parents

Today, I wanted to address the latter - the one least spoken of, even more so than women leading.

Children ruling over their parents.

It is all too common, even more so nowadays, to see children running their parents. In this generation of parents wanting to not repeat the wrongs their parents did, they go too far to the opposite side of the spectrum of letting their children do what they want thinking right as “love.”

The Word of God says that “foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child” {Proverbs 22:15}. The Lord also goes on to teach us the remedy of that foolishness within the same verse and many more in the wisdom of Proverbs, that “the rod of correction will drive it far from him.”

Too many parents try to avoid correcting their children and disciplining them for vain reasons. Whether they want to be a child’s favorite, are lazy in their call to parent, are trying to extract love and affection from their child that they believe they are missing from their husbands, and/or simply believe they are truly doing what is best for their child by just letting them be.

No, dear sister who may find herself in this erred mindset. We are called to train up our children in the way that they should go and when they are older they will not depart from it. You train them up in disobedience and no respect for authority, they will reap sin and eat the fruit thereof - death. You train them up in the ways of the Lord by the way of the Lord, you will reap peace, honor, and joy.

A foolish son brings his mother shame.
A disobedient daughter will do no less.

Correct them now and it will bring much peace and they will grow older and praise you for it, if they be wise. Leave them to themselves and, if God not intervene, you will be most troubled and them most damned.

No, correction need not be harsh and it can come in many forms. But it must be Spirit-led. I have said this before and I will say it again, I do not practice this world’s “gentle parenting” of child-led parenting. However, I practice biblical parenting and Christ-led instruction of compassion, mercy, grace, and discipline.

Even our Heavenly Father chastise those whom he love. Do you know what chastise means, beloved? It means to “rebuke or reprimand severely.” I do not know about you, but I have definitely had my fair share of chastisement by God since being saved. And I am all the better for it!

“For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.” - Psalm 30:5

Mothers, we must woman our posts. Do not spare your child from correction because of their tears. Teach and discipline them and you will deliver their souls from hell. The Lord says they will not die in you doing so.

Wives who are raising children, your children do not need your dotting affections while you in the same house disrespect and avoid their father. The best thing a wife can give her children is a knowledge of Christ and example of His love in first her marriage. If you truly love them, you’ll speak and treat well their father with honor. Exemplify the beautiful union and fortitude of Christ and His Bride. And if I was a teacher of men, I would say the same vice versa. Yet, I am not.

May Christ lead your homes.
Obey your husbands.
Love your children and teach them good things in Christ.
This is your duty, sisters.

The Word of God never comes back void.
He does not lie and He does not change.
Return to the path of godliness and walk in it.
And you will rejoice when you eat the fruit thereof!

“Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.” {Revelations 3:19}

“My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.” {Proverbs 3:11-12}

“Thus says the Lord, “Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; And you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ And I set watchmen over you, saying, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We will not listen.’ Therefore hear, O nations, And know, O congregation, what is among them. Hear, O earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people, The fruit of their plans, Because they have not listened to My words, And as for My law, they have rejected it also. For what purpose does frankincense come to Me from Sheba And the sweet cane from a distant land? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable And your sacrifices are not pleasing to Me.” Therefore, thus says the Lord, “Behold, I am laying stumbling blocks before this people. And they will stumble against them, Fathers and sons together; Neighbor and friend will perish.””

3. Put on worship and rest in His presence for at least 30 minutes but go as long as you can... In His presence is fullness of joy and the joy of the Lord is our strength!
4. Anoint your home with anointing oil. While doing so all Holy Spirit to reveal to you anything hidden that you need to throw out and OBEY... Even if it's difficult, even if it's your child's and they want to throw a fit...obey the unction of Holy Spirit first and foremost!

Today our focus is to listen for God's voice in all things... Even what to wear, what to pack the children for lunch, what route to take to go to work or run errands, who to share His love with in the store... Every thing!
