Six Leadership Principles that we can learn from an Eagles

1. Eagles fly Alone and at High Altitudes.
They don't fly with sparrows, ravens, and other small birds.

MEANING; Stay away from narrow-minded people, those that bring you down. Eagle flies with Eagles. Keep good company.

2. Eagles have an Accurate Vision. They have the ability to focus on something as far as 5km away. No matter the obstacles, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey until he grabs it.

MEANING; Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacles and you will succeed.

3. Eagles do not Eat Dead things. They Feed only on Fresh Prey.

MEANING; Do not rely on your past success, keep looking for new frontiers to conquer. Leave your past where it belongs, in the past.

4. Eagles Love the Storm.
When clouds gather, the eagle gets excited, the eagle uses the storms wind to lift itself higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagle uses the raging storm to lift itself above the clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings. In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the branches and leaves of the tree.

MEANING; Face your challenges head on knowing that these will make you emerge stronger and better than you were. We can use the storms of life to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid of challenges, rather they relish them and use them profitably.

5. Eagles Prepare for Training;
They remove the feathers and soft grass in the nest so that the young ones get uncomfortable in preparation for flying and eventually flies/ when it becomes unbearable to stay in the nest./

MEANING; Leave your Comfort Zone, there is No Growth there.

6. When the Eagle Grows Old,
His feathers becomes weak and cannot take him as fast and as high as it should. This makes him weak and could make him die. So he retires to a place far away in the mountains. While there, he plucks out the weak feathers on his body and breaks its beaks and claws against the rocks until he is completely bare; a very bloody and painful process. Then he stays in this hiding place until he has grown new feathers, new beaks and claws and then he comes out flying higher than before.

MEANING; We occasionally need to shed off old habit no matter how difficult, things that burden us or add no value to our lives should be let go of.

Fable: DON'T ARGUE WITH DONKEYS

The donkey said to the tiger:

- "The grass is blue".

The tiger replied:

- "No, the grass is green."

The discussion heated up, and the two decided to submit him to arbitration, and for this they went before the lion, the King of the Jungle.

Already before reaching the forest clearing, where the lion was sitting on his throne, the donkey began to shout:

- "His Highness, is it true that the grass is blue?".

The lion replied:

- "True, the grass is blue."

The donkey hurried and continued:

- "The tiger disagrees with me and contradicts and annoys me, please punish him."

The king then declared:

- "The tiger will be punished with 5 years of silence."

The donkey jumped cheerfully and went on his way, content and repeating:

- "The Grass Is Blue"...

The tiger accepted his punishment, but before he asked the lion:

- "Your Majesty, why have you punished me?, after all, the grass is green."

The lion replied:

- "In fact, the grass is green."

The tiger asked:
- "So why are you punishing me?".

The lion replied:

- "That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green.

The punishment is because it is not possible for a brave and intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with a donkey, and on top of that come and bother me with that question."

The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who does not care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. Never waste time on arguments that don't make sense...

There are people who, no matter how much evidence and evidence we present to them, are not in the capacity to understand, and others are blinded by ego, hatred and resentment, and all they want is to be right even if they are not.

When ignorance screams, intelligence is silent. Your peace and quiet are worth more.💯♥️

10 THINGS TIME HAS TAUGHT ME

1. Most of our life is spent chasing false goals and worshipping false ideals. The day you realise that is the day you really start to live.

2. You really, truly cannot please all of the people all of the time. Please yourself first and your loved ones second, everyone else is busy pleasing themselves anyway, trust me.

3. Fighting the ageing process is like trying to catch the wind. Go with it, enjoy it. Your body is changing, but it always has been. Don’t waste time trying to reverse that, instead change your mindset to see the beauty in the new.

4. Nobody is perfect and nobody is truly happy with their lot. When that sinks in you are free of comparison and free of judgement. It’s truly liberating.

5. No one really sees what you do right, everyone sees what you do wrong. When that becomes clear to you, you will start doing things for the right reason and you will start having so much more fun.

6. You will regret the years you spent berating your looks, the sooner you can make peace with the vessel your soul lives in, the better. Your body is amazing and important but it does not define you.

7. Your health is obviously important but stress, fear and worry are far more damaging than any delicious food or drink you may deny yourself. Happiness and peace are the best medicine.

8. Who will remember you and for what, become important factors as you age. Your love and your wisdom will live on far longer than any material thing you can pass down. Tell your stories, they can travel farther than you can imagine.

9. We are not here for long but if you are living against the wind it can feel like a life-sentence. Life should not feel like a chore, it should feel like an adventure.

10. always, drink the good champagne and use the things you keep for ‘best’. Tomorrow is guaranteed to no one. Today is a gift that’s why we call it the present. Eat, Drink & Be Merry.

7 critical lessons from the book "The Psychology of Money"

1. Spending money to show people how much money you have is the fastest way to have less money.

2. Money’s greatest intrinsic value—and this can’t be overstated—is its ability to give you control over your time.

3. Independence, to me, doesn’t mean you’ll stop working. It means you only do the work you like with people you like at the times you want for as long as you want.

4. Saving is the gap between your ego and your income.

5. Planning is important, but the most important part of every plan is to plan on the plan not going according to plan.

6. Doing something you love on a schedule you can’t control can feel the same as doing something you hate.

7. Savings can be created by spending less. You can spend less if you desire less. And you will desire less if you care less about what others think of you.

HOW TO RESPECT YOURSELF

(1) Stop looking for who is not looking for you.

(2) Stop saying more than is necessary.

(3) When people disrespect you, confront them immediately.

(4) Don't eat other people's food more than they eat yours.

(5) Reduce how you visit some people, especially if they don't reciprocate it.

(6) Invest in yourself. Make yourself happy.

(7) Stop entertaining gossip about other people.

(8) Think before you talk. 80% of how people value you is what comes out of your mouth.

(9) Always look your best. Dress the way you should be addressed.

(10) Be an achiever. Get busy with your goals.

(11) Respect your time.

(12) Learn to spend money on yourself. That's how people will learn to spend on you.

(13) Be scarce sometimes.

(14) Be a giver more than a receiver.

(15) Don't go where you are not invited. And when invited don't overstay your welcome.

(16) Treat people exactly the way they deserve.

(17) Except they owe you money, two call attempts is enough. If they value you they will call you back.

(18) Be good at what you do. Be the best

Sharpen your axe👇

Once upon a time, a very strong woodcutter asked for a job in a timber merchant and he got it. The pay was really good and so was the work condition. For those reasons, the woodcutter was determined to do his best.

His boss gave him an axe and showed him the area where he supposed to work.

The first day, the woodcutter brought 18 trees.

“Congratulations,” the boss said. “Go on that way!”

Very motivated by the boss words, the woodcutter tried harder the next day, but he could only bring 15 trees. The third day he tried even harder, but he could only bring 10 trees. Day after day he was bringing less and less trees.

“I must be losing my strength”, the woodcutter thought. He went to the boss and apologized, saying that he could not understand what was going on.

“When was the last time you sharpened your axe?” the boss asked.

“Sharpen? I had no time to sharpen my axe. I have been very busy trying to cut trees…”

Reflection:

Our lives are like that. We sometimes get so busy that we don’t take time to sharpen the “axe”. In today’s world, it seems that everyone is busier than ever, but less happy than ever.

Why is that? Could it be that we have forgotten how to stay “sharp”? There’s nothing wrong with activity and hard work. But we should not get so busy that we neglect the truly important things in life, like our personal life, taking time to get close to our Creator, giving more time for our family, taking time to read etc.

We all need time to relax, to think and meditate, to learn and grow. If we don’t take the time to sharpen the “axe”, we will become dull and lose our effectiveness.

TOP TEN LESSONS FROM THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERRARI

1. Investing in yourself is the best investment you will ever make. It will not only improve your life, it will improve the lives of all those around you.

2. Learn to say no. When you are saying yes to an unimportant thing, you are saying no to an important one.

3. You can be a fool for five minutes if you ask a question. However, you are a fool for a lifetime if you hesitate to ask a question.

4. Happiness is a journey, not a destination.

5. Push yourself to do more and to experience more. Harness your energy to start expanding your dreams. Yes, expand your dreams. Don't accept a life of mediocrity when you hold such infinite potential within the fortress of your mind. Dare to tap into your greatness.

6. It is only when you have mastered the art of loving yourself that you can truly love others. It's only when you have opened your own heart that you can touch the hearts of others.

7. Worry drains the mind of its power and, sooner or later, it injures the soul.

8. Laughter opens your heart and soothes your soul. No one should ever take life so seriously that they forget to laugh at themselves.

9. Never be a prisoner of your past. Become the architect of you future. You will never be the same.

10. Success on the outside means nothing unless you also have success within.

Seriously Top 15 life lessons I’m glad I learned at 21 and not 41:

1. You need to start

This is your only life.

It’s too short to keep putting off doing what you want to do

Live your life for you - not anyone else.

2. Your environment is crucial

Regardless of how disciplined or motivated you are
If you’re in the wrong environment you’ll never get anything done.

3. Be ready to pivot

Things change, plans fall through and life happens

Be ready and willing to pivot when chasing your goals according to what feedback you’re getting.

4. Books are mental ma********on

I love reading, I love learning.

But too much reading and not enough doing is just like binge-watching Youtube.

Read, apply, repeat

5. You need to be selfish

You can’t pour from an empty cup.

So be selfish, fill your cup first and then you can be selfless and pour into others.

6. The gym is preparation

In the gym, your mind is telling you to quit the whole time.

By not quitting, you’re building your mental fortitude and resilience in preparation for life.

7. You can’t stop learning

The moment you stop learning, you stop progressing.

Acquire new knowledge, learn new skills, apply, progress, repeat.

8. Not everyone wants you to win

Learn to recognise those that truly want the best for you and those who don’t.

Cut the latter out.

9. Risk is a part of life

Whether you’re taking a new job, starting your own business or moving country

Anything that has the potential to improve your life involves risk

Embrace it.

10. Challenge your beliefs

Why do you believe something? Because your parents told you? Because the news told you?

Challenge what you believe, be willing to listen to opposing opinions and always be ready to learn.

11. Money can buy happiness

Money can buy you time freedom, location freedom and most importantly

The opportunity to do what actually makes you happy.

12. You need discomfort

Whether it’s physical discomfort in the gym or mental discomfort when chasing your goals

Embracing discomfort is the key to long-term fulfilment.

13. Nobody knows what they’re doing

No, really.

Nobody has it all figured out, everyone is just blindly taking a step in what is hopefully the right direction.

14. Failure isn’t final

Failure is nothing but a sign telling you which direction not to go.

Stop treating it like a never-ending red light.

15. Consistency always wins

Talented but not consistent? You’ll fail.

Hard-working but not consistent? You’ll fail.

So long as you have consistency - you’ll win (eventually)
