OnePlus 11 camera details officially revealed

VLAD, 03 JANUARY 2023

Ahead of its official announcement for the Chinese market, which is taking place tomorrow, OnePlus took to Weibo (China's equivalent of Twitter) today to tease some more details about the OnePlus 11, thus staying true to its roots as the company that pioneered the drip-feeding information method of unveiling a product in the mobile world.

The focus (excuse the easy pun) is on the cameras this time around, as the company has officially revealed which sensors the phone is using, while bragging that they're all flagship level.

The main 50 MP snapper on the back uses Sony's IMX890, and the 48 MP ultrawide gets the Sony IMX581 with autofocus, so it can also capture macro shots. There's a 2x telephoto camera too, using Sony's IMX709 sensor, which has an RGBW arrangement to increase the amount of light it captures. This should enable shooting "professional" looking portrait mode shots, according to OnePlus.

The OnePlus 11's screen will be LTPO 3.0, enabling instant and seamless frame rate switches, up to 120 Hz. There's Dolby Vision support too. And of course the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

Additionally, OnePlus has confirmed that the 11 will have up to 16GB of RAM, and will be joined on stage tomorrow by the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, which will have a Focus Mode with multiple white noise varieties to, well, help you focus better, as well as industry-leading 54ms latency for immersive gaming.

Nvidia's GeForce Now game streaming service is coming to an EV near you

VLAD, 04 JANUARY 2023

Today at CES in Las Vegas Nvidia announced that its GeForce Now game streaming service is headed to cars. Specifically, cars from BYD, Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, and Polestar.

No special equipment (other than one or more controllers, we presume) will be required on your part to access GeForce Now's library of more than 1,500 titles, more than 1,000 of which are playable with a controller. The GeForce Now client for auto can run on Android or browser-based in-vehicle infotainment systems. It has an app which lets you easily select and launch games.

Speaking of which, if you want to, you'll be able to play top rated games such as A Plague Tale: Requiem, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, Lost Ark, and Destiny 2, along with many others from leading stores such as Steam, Epic Games Store, the EA app, Ubisoft, and GOG.com.

The cloud gaming service will be available to drivers and front seat passengers while parked or charging. If your EV from the aforementioned brands has backseat displays, those in the backseat can play anytime, even while on the road.

The Hyundai Motor Group, which comprises of the Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis brands, features Nvidia's Drive in-vehicle infotainment across its entire lineup. BYD announced last March that it would build upcoming EVs on Nvidia's Drive Hyperion platform starting in the first half of this year. Polestar is also using Nvidia Drive for its software-defined architecture, while the upcoming Polestar 3 is powered by the Nvidia Drive Orin SoC.

SAGAR, 04 JANUARY 2023

Motorola has teased the ThinkPhone we've been hearing about for the past few months. The Lenovo-owned brand posted the smartphone's picture on Twitter with the caption "Business-grade upgrade."

The image shared by Motorola officially gives us a glimpse of the ThinkPhone's design. Its back panel flaunts a fiber design and has the "ThinkPhone by Motorola" text at the bottom right corner. The ThinkPhone also has an aluminum frame, with the left-side frame sporting a red-colored button.

The picture shared by Motorola doesn't show us the front side of the ThinkPhone, but thanks to previously leaked renders, we know what the smartphone looks like.
