Back in the days as kids in twatasha township Kitwe, the tales of Chingola Road Cemetery filled our young minds with a chilling curiosity. One day, my friends and I decided to test the eerie legends. Ignoring the warnings, we tampered with a forgotten souvenir on a grave.

As night came, a haunting silence enveloped my room as an icy breeze crept in. Terrified, I heard footsteps, slow and deliberate, approaching my bed. I swear I I saw The shadowy ghostly figure of the forgotten grave stand before me.

Desperation gripped me as I realized the tales weren't mere stories. The ghost, seeking retribution, whispered its tale of sorrow and betrayal. Each passing moment intensified the chilling encounter, leaving me paralyzed with fear.

From that night onward, the cemetery's ghostly warnings became etched in my memory, a haunting reminder of the price we paid for our curiosity in the realm of the supernatural.

In the quiet township of Kitwe, the tale of Matilda lingered like a haunting melody. Matilda, a young woman with an air of mystery, met her tragic end while giving birth in her humble house. The whispers of her untimely demise echoed through the narrow streets.

Weeks after her passing, peculiar occurrences gripped the community. Residents claimed to have glimpsed Matilda's phantom wandering through the moonlit alleys, a spectral figure draped in sorrow. They spoke of her ethereal presence lingering near her former home, an otherworldly vigilance to ensure the safety of her newborn.

Each night, the whispers intensified as more witnesses came forward with chilling accounts. Matilda's ghost, with hollow eyes and a mournful aura, was said to gently cradle an unseen infant in her spectral arms. The town braced itself against the supernatural whispers that seeped through the cracks of their reality.

Desperation gripped the living as they sought to appease the unsettled spirit. Rumors spread of seances and attempts to communicate with Matilda beyond the veil. The township, once teeming with life, became shrouded in an eerie silence, broken only by the wails of Matilda's phantom echoing through the night.

Families barricaded themselves indoors, fearing the unseen gaze of the grieving mother. The once vibrant streets now bore the weight of a sorrowful presence that refused to fade. Matilda's ghostly figure became a symbol of tragedy, a reminder of the thin veil between life and death that draped over Kitwe.

And so, the township of Kitwe became a ghost town in more ways than one, haunted not only by the memory of Matilda's demise but also by the spectral vigil she maintained over the child she left behind. The tale of Matilda echoed through the years, a chilling reminder of the bonds that transcend even death itself.
