Here are 5 creatives we think everyone should absolutely be obsessed with:

👉🏾 is a visual artist based in Ottawa. Her work is currently being shown at the Ottawa School of Art. Her artwork is often bright, nostalgic and often empowering.

👉🏾 is a director/writer who studied Film Production at the University of British Columbia.
Omorose’s films have received many grants including the National Film Board of Canada’s Filmmaker Assistant Program grant.

👉🏾 is an Afrocentric artist based in Ottawa. We got to witness ’s genius at Afrofest and you should too by listening in!

Look we know, having your period sucks. And if we could just get rid of it all together , most would jump at the opportunity. Sadly that’s not an option, but there are still tools and actions that can help you manage your menstrual cycle better. Here are 4 tips we got from our latest episode:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💛 Track your period: there are tons of apps out there to help you track your period. Our personal favorite is . This will help with identifying patterns in your mood, cycle and more! It can also help with planning events around your cycle.
💛 Watch what you eat: there are some foods that can worsen your menstrual cramps such as salty foods and fatty food.

💛 Talk to your doctor: There’s so many information out there, it’s best to talk to your doctor to get reliable information.
💛 Explore your options: Every body is different! Whatever works for your friends and family members might not work for you. Contraceptives are often trial and error.

Although we talked about these these two examples, I don’t think we got a chance to properly illustrate what toxic femininity might really look like. Here’s 8 examples we think are common enough but that might not be understood as toxic femininity. I think we should definitely be having more conversations around this topic as it can definitely impact our relationships.
