PARKLANDS PRAIRIE WALK

Join the Invasive Species Awareness Coalition (ISAC) of Dubois County, and the City of Jasper Parks Department for this free evening event Tuesday, July 23rd, 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Jasper Parklands, 800 W 15th St. Jasper, IN 47546.

Learn about the native prairie plants growing at the Parklands, and the history of how a former golf course was turned into a rich ecological landscape. Native plant and wildlife experts Will Drews (Nursery Inspector & Compliance Officer for the Indiana DNR Division of Entomology and Plant Pathology), and Olivia Fry (Wildlife Biologist with Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever) will lead this guided nature walk. Will has around 10 years of experience in the areas of botany/horticulture and restoration ecology and has helped with the installation of many plantings around Indiana. Attendees will meet outside the Parklands Pavilion and then take trails through portions of the park’s low stature prairie.

RSVPs are not required, but for any questions contact Aubree Pond at [email protected] or 812-482-1171 x3. The Jasper Parklands entrance is located at 800 West 15th Street, and the Pavilion building is located just off the parking lot. Learn more about the event hosts online at www.isacdc.org and www.jasperindiana.gov/parks/.

Summer is in full swing at Holy Trinity!💛💜
Along with preparing for next school year, we are also getting things ready for the biggest community event in our area - the Jasper Strassenfest!🖤❤️💛

It's hard to believe that the exciting weekend is just ONE MONTH AWAY! Holy Trinity's participation can only be successful with your help, we ask that every Saints family consider signing up in at least one area!

TURKEY TENDER BOOTH (all weekend)- This year, we sorted time slots by grade level to help encourage parents to get to know other parents in their child's grade - however, you are free to sign up for ANY day and time that work for you! Our shifts are only a couple of hours long, and if they don't get filled, we have to close the booth down for that time frame. :( Working the booth goes quickly, raises a lot of money for our school, and truly is a FUN experience!!!

WETTLAUF 5K (Saturday)- This event takes place Saturday morning and is usually over by 9:30 a.m. We need traffic controllers and water station helpers. We encourage students (with their parents) to help at this event and wear their Holy Trinity spirit wear!

PARADE (Sunday) - HTCS will once again have an entry in this year's parade. We love to have a large group of students and families walking along with our staff. We also purchase promotional items and candy to share with the community! We could use your help with purchasing the items, donating candy, and participating in the parade with our school. Any students walking with our entry must sign a waiver. Forms will be included in your Back to School packet!

Click on the sign up links or scan the QR codes in the image to help out.
Thank you for sharing your time, talents, and treasures with Holy Trinity and our Jasper community! The hard work and support of our volunteers are GREATLY appreciated!
