I spent around 2 lakhs on purchasing paid courses and still made $0…🙁

At the beginning stage, we all become eager to learn👨‍💻.

We had so much doubt at that time. From where to learn, how to learn, how to get clients and so much more.

Even though there are so many silly questions we have at that time, we still feel the importance of knowing them.

Because we become so desperate to know each and every corner.

Just like you, I did the same thing.

When I started as a freelancer, I was too desperate to learn everything.

Every time an ad for a paid course popped up, I used to buy them out of curiosity, without even searching for reviews.

And this bad habit of mine became an obsession, which made me spend over 2 lakhs on courses and resources…

Yes, the amount is so huge, that now I myself can’t believe it.

But were those useful enough to make me a great marketer?

NO…

Due to a lack of knowledge and research, I spent my money on almost similar and basic resources that are available for free on the web.

But, thankfully, among them, I found a few courses and mentors, who taught me much more than the remaining ones.

Over time, I have realized that courses even from industry gurus can’t help until we implement them.

The learning journey isn’t successful until we experience them in real life. It’s like a cycle -

Learning - experimenting - failing - relearning - getting experienced

There are courses that seem to have so much value, but after buying, they are just the basics,
and courses that are filled with real value and people experience.

Now, you have to choose among them wisely.

It’s all up to you.

Where free resources with great value can make you millionaires, paid courses with zero value can make you nothing…

In the end, It’s all about Learning, Experience, Value, and Implementation…

So,
Which worked the best for you?

Paid courses of free resources?

Let me know…

🚀 Use only transactional, long tail, mid-tail, product/service-specific, company-specific, and competitor keywords
🚀 Make your ad copies stand out from the crowd

🚀 𝐆̶𝐨̶𝐚̶𝐥̶𝐬̶ 𝐇𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐈 𝐇𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 🚀

1. Workout everyday🏃🏻‍♂️
2. Meditate every day🧘🏻
3. Spend at least 30 mins with myself (solitude)🧎🏻‍♂️
4. Read a book for 40 mins📖
5. Learn a skill/upgrade skill by spending 1 hour👨‍💻
6. Following the Pomodoro technique while working⏰
7. Posting every day on 👨‍💻
8. Networking with at least 30 people on social media (Linkedin, and other platforms) 👨🏻‍💼

Well, if you see the above lists; they're not goals; they're habits. I feel setting up habits can change one's life more than setting goals.

I'm not a life coach or motivational speaker, but I tried setting up habits and following them for 1 month; and felt better.

It's just a perspective, and I loved it!

Digging too much into the data is also a problem🤯!

When we totally focus on analyzing the data without taking an action; it's a waste of time and effort. Instead; while you analyze the data; solve one problem, and then dig into another.

Don't ever dig into all the problems; which eventually make you feel overwhelmed.

P.S: Above thought is from my experience while I analyzed the data of more than 60+ brands.

When we try to market a product/service, we think about promoting it to a group of people, right?

Why not the majority of us think about promoting an individual?

It's because we expect an abundance of leads, sales, revenue, orders, profits, etc, etc.

But having this mindset while marketing doesn't work in the present era. It needs something extra, to make your marketing efforts EXTRAORDINARY.

What is it?

Personalization!
Personalization!
Personalization!

More about personalization will be shared in my upcoming posts. It's already been a lengthy post :).

Using Target Impression Share bidding strategy💰📈 to your Branded search campaign can save you a lot of bucks💰💰.

Create an 🧪experiment campaign with changing bid strategy along with the one you are using.

Wait, let it perform, and check the results. You’ll surely find that campaign with Target impression share gives you results for lower CPC/CPL/CPA.

Because this 💰📈bidding strategy will charge your account based on CPM; instead of clicks. As it is Branded campaign and there's more chance of higher CTR👨🏻‍💻; so you don't need any AI to optimize your campaigns for clicks.

This eventually makes your campaign consume less budget for more qualified clicks.

If you’re already using this strategy comment “Doing”; if you haven’t yet, try it out.

A group of people makes a company,
The company doesn't make people.

Company success is seen outside, but the reason for the success is the people inside the company.

We tend to see and act from a different perspective when we get this to our heads.

P.S: Company is just a constructed building and a name that is registered legally. But emotions, ideas, action, success, failure, innovation, and so on; are of the people in it.

Reaching client expectations is always a mystery goal; no matter how hard you try to bring great value to the table; still there's something they miss.

In the marketing industry, that's a common day-to-day thing that happens.
Letting go of those expectations can help us to provide great value instead of playing what the client says/expects.

What most marketers/freelancers/agencies do is, say "yes" to everything that clients brief/expectations; but they are unaware of the consequence they'll face tomorrow due to that word "yes" or "will do".

For the purpose of onboarding, promising fake results; will not yield great profits in the long term to any marketer/freelancer/agency.
Always promising practical results is what makes a great relationship between you and the client.

Try to onboard those clients who can understand you and your work better; and the one who listens and take practical feedback.

I tried to project this issue in a meme way, hope you liked it.

Here are a few mistakes that you need to avoid while creating a search campaign for yourself or your client.

These small mistakes can cost more than anything else. A penny wasted in advertising is the effort wasted!

Avoid these mistakes, and use your marketing budget wisely. Treat marketing budget as an investment instead of just a budget :).

Does buying a MacBook a liability for me?
Of course, NOT!

When you know that something can increase your productivity, and flow of work; would you take the next step to get it or not?

You will do it, right!

People around me shared their opinions when I just share with them that I’m gonna purchase a MacBook for myself:
1. Don’t buy it, it’s too expensive for you to manage
2. It’s not for you
3. You can’t afford it
And so on.

But I felt these statements are just bad as fu*k.

When I know that a MacBook gonna take my work and learning experience to the next level, why shouldn’t I buy it?

Yes, I know it’s too expensive, and I know it comes with a lot of strings attached. But still, you know that will help you in working smoothly.

Point here what I’m trying to make is,

When something helps you in your career or personal life, it’s not a liability; it’s an asset.

If you are buying a luxury SUV just to impress your friends, it’s a liability.
But if you are buying the same SUV, to impress your real estate clients (if you are in the real estate business, and you receive high-end clients on a day-to-day basis to get sell the real estate properties); it’s an asset.

So, whenever we make a purchase, it’s necessary whether we are doing it to impress others or to improve ourselves.

I choose to buy it because I want to increase my productivity and workflow. I purchased an asset, not a liability.

P.S: In Rich Dad Poor Dad's book, there’s a segment where it all explains what’s a Good Debt and a Bad Debt. When you take a loan to improve yourself or work, it’s a Good Debt, but when you take a loan to impress others; it’s a Bad Debt.

Read on to know my perspective on "Attitude is Everything- Jeff Keller"

Well, I had read several self-help books📕 but I hardly post about them or share the summary (of this niche). But this book, there's something special about it.

But what's so special about this book📕?

It's because of...
Simplicity
Straightforwardness
Actionable steps
& Few short stories (real-life ones) to inspire us.

As the total book is divided into three parts; 1️⃣Success begins in the mind, 2️⃣Watch your words, & 3️⃣Heaven helps those who act.

Coming to the first part, it's simple. Think positive, as it makes you see the opportunities ahead in spite of adversities.

Coming to the second part, focus on the words that you speak. Because it has a direct & indirect impact on your behavior & confidence. Speak positive about yourself & about the situations that happen in your life.

Coming to the third part, it's my favorite one. Take action. TAKE ACTION. Take a Step Forward. Without action, there's no use in thinking positively & speaking positively.
Just remember "Success comes before work in the dictionary, not in reality"

I don't want to stress more about this book📕. It's simple and it deserves a read. You can hardly complete it in 2 hours (it depends on person to person).

Finally, this book helped me to reflect on the words that I speak about myself. Thanks for that, Mr. Jeff Keller.

Final message: When you are filled with positivity, your outer world changes (even too much positivity is dangerous, as it closes your eyes not to see and accept reality. Real positive nature is when you accept the situations and reflect upon them).

P.S: I'm not being an Gyaani😅

Before I begin, do you think Branding & Marketing are the same?
You may answer; Yes/No/Maybe/co-relatable.
Okay, it's your perspective; and now; let me share what I found the difference between Branding & Marketing.

Let's begin with Branding,
Branding is the process of placing and projecting your company/organization's brand with core values, your mission & vision statements, etc.

In simple words, branding is the process of making feel think about what your brand is about. Just like you recall Coco-Cola with the "Open Happiness" tag line. Coco-Cola is one of the best brands that do great branding.

Now, Marketing.....
Marketing is the process of making strategies & using tools to promote the brand in order to sell products or services eventually. Marketing is tactical and can be easily measured.

More in-depth.....
Branding activities/flow remain the same for years (long run) and marketing activities/strategies of a brand change frequently depending upon the demand, product/services, audience, and market.

In a nutshell🌰,
Branding= Long run activities performed to maintain reputation and place the brand in the market
Marketing= Short-term strategies such as selling a product/service to the audience (End goal). Different strategies & tactics are played when it comes to marketing.

Now, what do you think you have to focus on; Branding or Marketing?
Well, the answer is subjective.

I'm not gonna share it in detail about it right now; as it's a debate discussion. You can expect one in my upcoming posts😃.

👇Read the Caption Below

"Jeevam vunnantha varaku, Jeevitham vundhi manaku"
(Translation: If you are alive; you still have a life)

I took this proverb from a Telugu song (starring Rajinikanth in the movie of Narasimha), and this line literally made me realize that there's nothing to feel regret when you still have a life waiting for you to fulfill your dreams & desires.

In the present world, we always blame ourselves & others for the opportunities we lost; and we regret those in some instances. But do you think is it really worth blaming or feeling regret?

At least from my point of view; it's not! When you feel regret; you start to feel low & eventually it leads to no productivity.
Apart from losing productivity, you start to feel insecure, stressed, anxious, and start to fear when challenges come across.

From now on, let's not blame or regret; we all have a life ahead of us; we are still breathing, eating, walking, & have a roof on our top; that's more than a good sign.

Let's not waste this life given by the almighty; let's fail together, learn together, try together, & achieve together.

You are not alone; everybody is going through some s**t in their life. What we make out of it, defines us. Let's define ourselves as the ones we wish to be.

P.S: I'm not a philosopher nor an experienced person. I'm sharing what I felt these days.

13/04/2022

I believe that Marketing is all about Analysing, Predicting, Decision Making, Understanding Customers & Market, Building Strategy, and Executing the plan.

Framing strategy is one part, and executing it is another one. Executing a strategy without the right resources & tools will not help you in reaching your end goal.

As a marketer I believe, tools are an integral part of marketing. Your goal may be to generate leads, reach a new audience, write a new blog post, make a user purchase, & so on; for every goal you set- you need to have the right tool in handy.

Here's I had made a complete list of important tools that every marketer should have to achieve the end goal.

Being a marketer I understand how data can benefit to increase the performance of campaigns & overall marketing efficiency.

Whenever we come across the word “Data”; we totally misunderstand it in some or the other way. Most people think data is all about the reports generated from Google Analytics or Google Ads reports or Facebook Ads reports or other reports.

But it’s not how it works. Data is bigger than those reports. These reports only provide you the data of people who interacted with your business/web/app/ads.

It’s not what’s in the reports; the true meaning of Data is how you gonna use those qualitative & quantitative metrics to take further decisions.

Data enables you to understand what your audiences likes, their interest, their behavior, their pain points & a lot more. When all these data are combined; you’ll figure out exceptional decisions that bring your marketing strategy & efforts to turn into fruit.

That’s the reason why companies like Zomato, Paytm, Swiggy, & lot more companies became a unicorn.

But remember understanding Data & making decisions with those understandings take a lot of time. No one is perfect in implementing the data; No great marketer has succeeded without making mistakes.

From now, let’s not only just look at the figures in the report; but understand what they are trying to convey about our customers/audience.

Focusing on quality than quantity gets you far ahead in every aspect of life & career; this thumb rule works the same for PPC campaigns too😅 (LOL).

Next time; when you create a campaign just focus on those keywords that get you to reach the right audience with utmost relevancy so that you can generate relevant clicks & conversions.

Overloading an ad group with hundreds of keywords is like putting all your money into gambling where the probability of losing is higher than gaining a penny from it.

What are your thoughts on this? Do share with me :)
