DP Notes: With only an hour for set up before the President of the school was ready for her on-camera, my little crew raced to get gear from the grip truck and up the stairs of the historic library building. We had traveled with a smaller lighting package, and used our heavy hitters for background texture. The 600 with the spotlight mount was able to give us just enough level on the bookcase in the back, and since the 1200 was able to pull double duty on background and act as a hard kicker, we just had to wrap the key side with what we had left over - this ended up being a few led panels and a 300. The F22x flew overhead since it was the lightest, and we used the light mat to act as our key since it was a larger source. To help with levels and to ease that transition from the light mat key and the 1200 kicker, we added in the 300 punching through the magicloth from that far side. To bring up shadow levels on the negative side, we fired an LS1 into an ultra bounce. When it was all said and done, the ratios were more on the conservative side, but we were able to add some nice tone and shape once we took it to color.

Introducing our Studio Manager, Tuan Nguyen! 🍊🎥

Tuan has a background in computer science and digital technology. His role will include managing equipment, server data, and daily office tasks. His tech background allows him to be a versatile member of the team that will keep us organized and efficient in between shoots. In his free time, he is playing pickleball or gaming on his custom built PC.

DP Notes 🎥:
For the final shot of “Birthday Boy” we wanted to create a warm and inviting scene that truly felt like home. The color contrast between the daylight streaming in through the windows and the warm glow of the lamp really set this scene over the top and created the perfect backdrop for our feel-good family scene.

Hannah Talbot comes to Orange Video from the world of Theatre. She enjoys staging a set and making everything look as lived in as time allows. She appreciates figuring out how to make real life work on repeat for shoots, whether it is a long term steaming cup of coffee or deciding which board game a family would play. Hannah loves seeing how every person contributes to the shot for an amazing result.

Hello Tallahassee & Thomasville!

We are looking for talent (65+) to be in a series of Senior Living Commercials. These spots will redefine what it means to be a senior! There are opportunities in both Tallahasee, FL and Thomasville, GA.

The dates are tentatively set for Februrary 20-23, but we would only need actors for 2-3 hours at a time during one of those days. All ethnitices and genders are welcome, but we are looking for 65+. No speaking lines and this is a paid job.
